The main things we've had so far:

Some Norse history and mythology
Swedish history
Scandinavian history
Medieval Europe
Greek, Roman and Egyptian history
Exploration
Some American history
French and American revolution
Industrial revolution

Fun.
We learn more about everything else than our own countrys history for some reason. It's probably too boring.
I haven't finished school yet, so I don't know what will come after this.

We learned that England's royalty is actually a group of shape-shifting reptilians attempting to undermine the world's economy.

If we didn't cut away from them, we'd all be speaking with snapping and hissing, and unhinging our jaws to make love.

Well I'm just finishing up my school years and I am sick to the stomach of Irish history, it's the only history I've studied all year and it's starting to drive me nuts.
What he said, the second we got away from Irish history and into WW2 i was relieved

Irish history is pretty much a testament on how much we got our asses kicked of the years by foreigners and other Irish
Irish history for me was pretty awesome but mainly because we where taught the pro-treaty stuff and its also about how we attempted to kick other peoples asses but just could never finish it off.

- Ancient World (Greece and Rome, unfortunately nothing before that - I would've liked to learn about Egypt, Babylonia and many more...).
- Middle Ages, primarily German Feudalism, Holy Roman Empire, Italy
- French revolution, Napoleonic wars
- First World War
- Weimarer Republic
- Second World War

What did I feel was missing?
Well, I would've liked to know more about what happened after the second World War, how Europe became what it is today. I also wanted to know more about ancient cultures besides the Greeks and the Romans, especially Middle Eastern countries and South American cultures.

Well, I dunno. It was so boring that I try to forget sometimes. We seemed to learn about the same things every year. What I remember is, repeatedly learning about the history of the Native Americans. This could've been interesting if not for the fact that my teachers made no effort to make it so. We'd then learn about how we came to be a country (lots of negative things said about England) and we'd spend so much time on that, that by the end of the year, we'd only have gotten as far as the industrial revolution or the civil war.

I vaguely remember learning about the Titanic the year the movie came out, though.

We spent a lot of time on slavery when I still took history. Wayyyy too much time. Basically we learned everything about America from a pure propaganda point of view. If only people were smart enough to break through the bullshit. Hell, I wasn't even taught that the French helped out in the American Revolution. Learned that from movies. Terrible.
The French never helped with anything. Because they're french.

Hey, what do you call 170,000 People with their hands up?
Incredibly organized?

Very little. In primary school we learnt a little about the First Fleet Discovering Australia but that was about it. Our country is reasonably ashamed of its history, being a convict nation with a hatred towards the local indigenous people (Ie, we murdered a lot of them).

In high school we learnt a little about WWI, and WWII. Not much, everything I know about those two wars have come from books rather than school. It was once again, a bit useless.

Actually i remember being taught about William the Conq.. conque... Bastard. Yeah he was a Bastard.

Love that term. Amazingly you can legitimately call someone it these days and you've a high likelihood of it being a true statement.

Well considering china history we had A LOT to study. we were taught that the cultural revolution was a failure and a bad time during the early communist rule, but i did not find out about Tiananmen Square protests till i was in the 8th grade which i was in the US studying.other then that i learned about every normal thing a kid should, math, reading, second language(english in my case),an science.

We weren't taught real history. We were indoctrinated with Pro America propaganda. Rah, rah, rah. Such utter bullshit. I had to get out of school entirely to learn anything at all.

Start of the World - Antiquity,
Middle-ages - Renaissance,
Renaissance - First World War,
Period between wars - Present Day.

After that, in depth studies of every subject.
I like this system. It really teaches a lot.

In between those subjects, there is some lithuanian history.

Basically that America was awesome, and we are the bestest country ever.

As proof, we regularly parade our glorious military through poor countries.
