Try everything at least once except for incest and morris dancing.

I can't remember who said that but it seems to have served me well so far.

"Have strong opinions, but hold them weakly." - If you can't consider new things and change what you believe, you only need a spinal cord. A brain would be wasted.

"Always remember who you are in the dark." - Because integrity's about the only thing that's truly yours, and is not worth discarding for a short-term gain.

"Never pick a fight you can't run away from." - Because, let's face it, most of us are fairly nerdy types who don't really want to get into fights in the first place, no matter how tough we pretend to be online.

"And this, too, shall pass." - A reminder to remember that when things are good, they won't always be this good, so enjoy them. When things are bad, they won't always be this bad, so look to tomorrow. But mostly, you'll be a long time dead and there's a lot of living to do between now and then, so don't worry about the small stuff. Because it's probably all small stuff.

"Sanity is the first sign of madness."
"Strive for perfection knowing that it is impossible to achieve."
"Never give up."
"Victory, without honour, is not a victory."
"Nobody has the right to fuck with anybody's beliefs without permission."

I'll stop there before I get into the details of my particular brand of honour.

Eh no real words I guess, but (subject to change) I do keep these points in mind:

-NOTHING is 100% impossible (plenty of 99.99 repeating % chances though)
-Try to squeeze as MUCH entertain out of life as possible, else you'll found yourself wishing you had (which is my meaning of life really)
-Just keep swimming, just keep swimming just keep swimming swimming swimming (Even If it feels more like manic doggy paddling sometimes...)

"Peace is a lie. There is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me. "

Just kidding of course.
I simply live, I'm trying not to over complicate things and living by a rule would do that in my opinion.

By that, I mean, "what's your motto?" or "what do you think of to keep moving forward?"

As for me, my mottoes are:
"You are never alone in this world."
"There is always a light at the end of this messed up hell-hole of a tunnel called life."
"90% of the people you meet will not like you. Live for the 10% who are always there for you."
"75% of statistics are made up"

Not too sure, I've got principles but I'm not sure most would fit into eloquent little quotes. The following are pretty standard.

"Respect your elders"
"Show courtesy to others as you expect to be shown to you"

Here's my favorite quote, one I don't follow but respect immensely however.

"It is the good life I have traveled, and I have turned the world over in my hand, like a stone with attractive veining, and this I have discovered: a man is happiest when there is a balance between his needs and his possessions. Now the question is: how to achieve this balance. One could seek to do this by increasing his goods to the level of his appetites, but that would be stupid. It would involve doing un-natural things - bargaining, haggling, scrimping, working. Ergo, the wise man achieves the balance by reducing his needs to the level of his possessions. And this is best done by learning to value the free things of life: the mountains, laughter, poetry, wine offered by a friend, older and fatter women"

Everything will eventually end.
In response to this, a certain blue, glowing, naked man has this to say:

"'In the end'? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."
~The Watchmen, Alan Moore

Also like this one, from Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal:

"The wisest sage is he who avoids battle. He who fights and wins comes next."

"NO MERCY! KILL EVERYTHING!"

uh... I mean...

Hmm... "Ultimately, the more they insult and pay attention to me, the more my ego grows. Therefore, I win."

"Stick to your principles. If you don't uphold them then you have failed as a human being."

It's not really a motto, but it's something I live by.
