Basically means don't give up, cause if something's worth doing, it's not going to land in your lap. I think it's a pretty wise saying to live by.

Actually, and don't quote me on this, because I'm not a major science whiz just some guy regurgitating something he heard a while back, scientists have actually discovered that the universe is finite. Like, there is a physical boundary to the universe, where if you kept going in one direction long enough, you'd hit a weird space wall. This would, however, be impossible... because... gravity and... physics... and Harry Potter magic or something make it so that no matter how hard you try, you can't reach the barrier, and eventually get pulled away from the wall. It's still there, you just can't get to it. Kind of weird though. Makes you wonder what's on the other side of the wall...

We have not gotten to the point where we know that this theory is correct. Truthfully i believe in the theory that the Universe is always expanding, thus it is infinite in the way it can change. This theory coincides with the Big Bang Theory and the possibility of the shot down theory, the Oscillation Theory, though disproved in the 70's, mostly because we could not spot a red or blue shift, i believe it may be possible that we will revert back to the singularity which is in the exact middle of the universe, give or take 50 feet. *No, this is not from the game 'Ratchet and Clank - A Crack in Time', this is also a theory.*
