If Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Alaska teamed up to declare war on mainland USA. I think there might be enough collective bitterness to make this viable.

Actually, Canada declaring war on anybody sounds out of place. And I'm a Canadian that's well aware of the Afghanistan situation. But random would be if Canada invaded Greenland. I mean, there's nothing there other than a potentially stronger claim to the North.
