Guys the people posting literal RPG (which i beleive it stands for Rocket Powered Gun?? maybe) that is what I had meant by this post. RPG in the gaming world stands for ROLE PLAYING GAME which means is long, offers usually a lot of things to do and can sometimes be confused with JRPGs (japanese role playing games).

Any who thanks for all the feed back and I'm seeing a great pattern for what (i hope in the near future) be the best RPG (role playing game) of its kind.!!! ALL THANKS TO YOU GUYS and girls(if any posted). WOOOOOOO!

Mine already exists. Final Fantasy VII. All it needs is some graphic upgrading and we're all set.

True but think about this for a second. I beleive what made it great the first time around was the fact that it had a great storyline, and it showed a great balance between the movie clip sections and eviromental clip sections. Plus it had some memorable characters....EXCEPT the lame excuse that was "CAITH&SAITH??" which was this glichy over kill reaper dressed for lame action with his "roullet" limit in which if you got lucky and got the jackpot *pretty much ANY BOSS WOULD DIE INSTANTLY. WoW.

IF my RPG inherit anything from Final Fantasy 7 it would be the SUMMONS by far the were one's of the best, (along with the ones of FF8 also).

Mine would be too long to explain as well, but I envision a game in which you can be any kind of character you want. Every single game that exist fails to do this in my eyes, and I seriously mean a game in which your customization of spells and fighting styles could literally produce thousands of possibilities.
This. The perfect RPG would deliver countless customizations for non-stop replayability,

Oh, and I would love it if the setting of the perfect RPG would actually be like real life's settings, but with different super powers.

My perfect RPG would just be one long-ass movie. It removes the whole "running around finding out where to go" problem. Everything else would be the same.

One where I can be my comedy value character. Captain Awesomeness McDude. He just ambles around senselessly and stumbles upon solutions by accident.

Baldurs Gate 1&2 plus expansions combined with full voice acting and D&D 3.5 edition ruleset. If htey ever release that, I'm first in the queue.

Ideally I would love to see Bioware and Obsidian team up with Mistwalker, Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger/Xenogears/Chrono Cross), Yuji Horii (Chrono Trigger/EVery Dragon Quest Game Ever) and Shigesato Itoi (Mother/Earthbound).

It would be a very strange game, but could possibly result in the best RPG ever.

I'm working on it [http://www.byond.com/members/Geldonyetich].

Basically, I'm going for a lot of dynamic content, the idea being that the actions of the player characters really change the world, and quests are dynamically assigned as appropriate.

I think my ideal RPG would be different from every other RPG. A big problem I have with a lot of RPGs is how utterly predictable they are. This is because an awful lot of them rip off the same source material and have the exact same plot structure and ideas.

My favourite CRPGs are probably Mass Effect and Planescape Torment. PS:T especially turns a lot of the usual cliches on their head which made it memorable. It's also a lot better written than most.
Mass Effect isn't so different to the usual story structure but not being set in the ancient and storied land of Tolkeinshouldsue (it's more like a love letter to pulp space opera :D ) again gave it something and made it interesting to play through.

So I dunno. Something new and original or else "inspired by" different books.

Make some Iain M Banks books into games. Samuel R Delaney. PKD. No elves.

The perfect RPG would be where you play as a hooker who has been given too many ***** slaps & shankings by her pimp. One night she snaps and goes on a killing spree which takes her from petty drug dealers in worn down ghettos to the big time pimps in the city suburbs (sort of like Max Payne but without the family killing, bullet time, brilliant gameplay and story).

Q&A: wouldn't that be similar to viewtiful Joe or WET in some aspects?
