Remington 700 is nice, but may i suggest a little something different for those tight close quarter situations:

Very pretty. :]

Though since I'm not 21, the legality of me having a handgun is nonexistent. Though I have this lil' guy waiting for me.
And I'm quite tempted to buy him a sister, of little relation though. XD

Though that's an LS and not an NL.

I hate to be old school and not include super accurate and devastating modern warfare/weaponry. HOWEVER, nothing is prettier than a nasty and incredibly brutal axe clutched in my hands...
Not one of those wood-splitting axes, more like:

M4 or M16 Carbine, whichever doesn't do burst fire. Or a Magnum Sniper Rifle (Awp).

EDIT: With a Desert Eagle as a side.

If you were in a combat scenario, what weapon would you like to have?

I'd personally want an M4A1 (or an M16, I forget which one is the assault rifle)

If this topic has already been done, I'm sorry, but the last time I searched for a topic I found 50 non related ones.
Both are assault rifles. The difference is the M4 has a shorter barrel and stock resulting in an overall shorter length and shorter effective range. The M4 also returns the fully automatic fire mode, removed from the M-16 in the A2 models and forward.

Personally, I'd go for the one of the more compact options of the M1, probably the M1A SOCOM 16, produced by Springfield Armory. The rifle weighs no more than the m-16 (well, not significantly more anyhow) and what it loses in magazine capacity (20 versus 30) you gain in stopping power (.308 winchester versus 5.56x45 NATO) and range (900+ M for a point target versus 550M for a point target with the m-16).

When I was actually deployed to Iraq, my primary carry weapon was actually an M9. If I left the FOB (or had to pull some sort of guard duty) I was issued my M-4 from the armory. Never made much sense for me to carry a rifle on a FOB, and it's a hell of a lot less annoying to carry a handgun instead. I always felt sorry for those poor bastards with the M240/249's when they had to pull guard duty of any sort. Sure, it seems cool to be issued a machine gun until you have to carry the weapon and ammunition around in the sun all day.

A lightsaber because of the cool noise it makes... Can I have Jedi training with that?

Frag grenades if ammo's not an issue

or a well-built repeating crossbow with a scope, silent, accurate, surprisingly long-range for some models, reliable past that of the AK-47 and the ability to CREATE ammo IN THE FIELD or salvage used rounds. Also I'm kind of surprised everyone is forsaking ammo types and poisons for their weapon, one shot one kill, anywhere.

I would have to go with the m40 Sniper rifle because i would think getting shot hurts.

A standard lee Enfield (MKII) bolt-action rifle.

Great power, excellent accuracy, smooth action, makes for great hit-and-run tactics against an advancing (or retreating) enemy.

Real men use iron sights.

Well considering some of the girls i know and their irrational fear of guns...
I've never been a 'normal' girl. I wear heels but I love guns. :sigh:

I'm just glad you didn't say anything about this gun:
The guy at my local gun store says 'people only buy these because they're in all the cool action movies...' Though I've never shot one... So I don't know how they shoot. /:
Though I must admit they're pretty. Remind me of a shotgun for some reason though...
