What Would Happen If Your Two Favorite Games Merged?

Only two favourite games? Shit, that's too hard to pin down. But let's say the Persona and Deus Ex series.
Well, they both have a division between "social" and "combat" modes. Let's take Human Revolution's dialogue system and mash it up with Persona's social links. Wow, that's a real game changer. So, you have to pay close attention to the way the conversation is going. Perfect. And the dialogue would have a noticeable impact upon the direction of the story. SOOOOOOOO AMAZING.
Other than that, well, the combat elements of the game would be totally crazy. How do we mix the two? They're about as antithetical as you can get. Turn-based combat vs. real-time stealth action. I'd take the latter.
Like Deus Ex, the main character would be a cyborg/robot, but with more fantastical powers. Think Aigis and the other Anti-Shadow weapons. Now imagine her as a Deus Ex protagonist with all kinds of augmentations. Orgia mode? Of course! Pandora missiles? HELL YEAH. And it only gets crazier from there, pandora missiles wouldn't even compare to the almighty flare. The available upgrades would make for a perfect fusion of science and magic, invoking Clarke's third law that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

A platformer in which Dr. Robotnick has captured the various animals of the Pride Lands and turned them into robots while also allowing various Outsider animals to slowly take over the Pride Lands. It's up to Sonic, Simba, & Knuckles to use their unique skills to rescue their animal friends and take back the Pride Lands.

On one hand, we have minecraft, an open world sandbox where you build stuff.
On the other, we have Steambot Chronicles, an open world game where you pilot a mech around a country in the middle of the industrial revolution and have amnesia.
So we have an open world sandbox where you can mine for resources in order to build up your country using a mech. Either that or Minecraft with mechs and bandits.
You know what? If I ever get enough time to learn how to mod Minecraft, I'ma make a mod to do that. I'll even put in the customization part of Steambot.

I just got this vision of Garrus accidentally getting dropped off in Silent Hill. Sheppard comes back, only to find Garrus sitting on top of a pile of ruined buildings, holding his trusty rifle, smoking a cigar.

Basically, it would be the darker, more mature Pokémon everyone's been asking for, with a healthy dose of immature humor thrown into the mix because, y'know, Disgaea.

A Minecraft style world sandbox from which you could build and launch rockets into orbit and beyond with a somewhat realistic orbital physics engine as in Kerbal Space Program? That sounds awesome. Send Steve up to go digging on the Mun for a change, or explore ancient abandoned mineshafts deep under the surface of Duna. That would be so cool. I wonder if Jeb would remain as cool and calm when faced with a creeper?

But how about we add Blazblue's cast of over-the-top wacky charcters and, while we are at it, we add concepts from Toaru Majutsu no Index (which has a fairly bad fighter but is still a fun series in and off itself) combining ultra science with espers and mech along with magic of the highest order: personas, angels, gods and kami,TehCookie said:
