Well, I don't know of anything on the spot, but I did once have this crazy dream that Sony created a black dildo and marketed it as a new motion controller. Also, there was an abused child named Milo, and a rabid baby tiger... and Molyneaux and the Cirque du Soleil was there and everything... but that's what I dream about I guess.

Also, I was naked. Go figure

when we play only multiplayer first person shooters and use motion controls of horrible sensitivity, god I never want to play another FPS ever again, EVER EVER AGAIN. O_O

If I had to start paying for mods.
Just think if I had to pay a dollar for each mod I downloaded for Oblivion. I would have paid for the game 4 times over.

When the people who are confused and scared of interactive visual media have enough power over the regulation of games to the point where it is no longer allowed to even cultivate as an art form. If my games ever become used solely for in-your-face teaching, PSAs, or made-for-children media because of some government regulation is the day I lose all hope that people will ever take it seriously.

Until you know... we revolt, break laws, or move to another country. Anyone else think the crime rate would spike if they banned video games?

In summary, if Video Games were ever regulated, or developed poorly, to the point where mainstream gaming couldn't be art with no chance of revival is when I start loosing hope.

If overzealous Catholics came into control of the ESRB system and banned all games that they deemed "dangerous" to the peoples' faith in God.

... I get way too riled up about some of the stupidity found in Catholisism. Just know that this is aimed at the bible-thumpers, not all Catholics.
This would be pretty bad too. Could you imagine how many great games we wouldn't have if this was the way things were since the beginning? It's a scary thought.

Umm, every game was a farmville copy or an Fps. That would be the end of gaming as we know it.

When games are all in 3-D, multi-player only or only support motion controllers. I'm already beginning to lose my faith in game developers and in many cases I'm convinced they're not smart enough to tie their own shoes

All motion controls, all online, only FPS's, or only multi-player.

A Twilight video game would also do the trick

I'd lose about 75% percent of it if Shigeru Mayamoto was crowned the greatest man in the industr...oh, wait. Well, in that case, an additional 5% would go if a major corporation released a game that sold like hotcakes even though it was only a full-priced third of the actual-- oh, wait...Well, I'd lose the rest of it when a game that was identical to the last one becomes a best sell--oh.

Eh, who'm I kidding, I lost it long ago. The only perpetually dry spot in my ocean of premature cynicism and low opinions is Yahtzee, although it is occasionally breached by the odd Deus Ex or LittleBigPlanet.

"Faith in gaming."

Seriously? You make it sound like a bloody religion or something.

I think I lost "faith" in gaming shortly after I started gaming. Finding good games is like looking for diamonds in a sewer. Don't get me wrong, they're around, but you have to sift through a lot of crap to get to them.

There are a couple things that might cause me to quit games. If games went purely motion controlled or completely 3D I'd be tempted to find another hobby. Also, if developers stop making quality single player experiences and focus solely on the multiplayer. I know some developers are already doing this, but if it becomes industry wide I'll have a real problem with it. And lastly, subscription fees for online multiplayer other than MMOs. I know it'll probably happen, and it won't make me quit, but I'm still pissed about it.
