The title says it all. What would have to happen to make you give up on video games as a form of entertainment and quit them forever?

I pray this will never happen, but if motion controls became so popular on consoles that all PC developers shifted their focus entirely to consoles and motion controls, that would be the end of gaming for me. So long as there are a couple of holdouts though (Valve and Bioware especially), I won't lose hope.

I was actually very close to this when little big planet brought me back, from the moment you press start the game is just different and that guy talking to you makes it feel like a story book thats being read to you. Then I got to the ninja levels and gave into frustration :(

The day games stop being fun and challenging. My word are developers pushing their luck on the later as far as RTS's & TBS's go.

If developers collectively thought that having multiplayer excuses a crap single player... again... and other than military shooters since I don't play them anyway...

When a 'developer' creates a game in which you create crops which take a day to grow forcing you to come back the next day and create a farm- Oh wait, damnit.

If the PC completely died as a platform and/or the end of meaningful single-player games. I hate playing with other people, even in MMOs.

Same with me, games just got so boring all of a sudden, and then me and a few friends stayed up late one night paying Team Fortress 2. That fixed everything.
But it would be very difficult for that to happen to me again, I'd say if games stopped having campaigns I would lose faith.

Any sort of subscription service. I pay to buy the game and a yearly live subscription. That's it.

Also, motion controls. If it was/is done right it be great. But if Kinect has/is showing us anything. It's that the near future of motion controls is gonna be glitchy and painfully gimmicky. Not something I'm excited for.

When I found out the easter bunny was not real... oh games, when the internet was no longer a bonus feature but a requirment. Most new games don't interest me any more, thank you OP for adding salt to my wound.

If I cannot find a game that I find entertaining, I will lose faith and try another hobby.

Although it would ruin the entertainment value of most games if they stopped making games for controlers...
