I'll do the same thing I did with Homefront and what pretty much every other person on this thread has already said, not buy it. I have Crysis 2, Bulletstorm and Dead Space 2 to keep me occupied until Battlefield 3 and Diablo 3 come out.

A lot of games were hyped this year and didn't turn out as you'd like? Wow, welcome to the "x"[footnote]replace X with Games, Film, Porn, Music etc[/footnote] industry.

I'm not planning on touching Brink with a fucking stick. The "hype" they've produced makes me want to puke in my own mouth and then swallow it down again.
I haven't heard any hype over it, only a few trailers. I think Homefront had more hype over it than Brink.

I don't know about the whole unique thing..the game jus tlooks like a perfect progression shooter with co-op and multiplayer rolled into a nice art style, very simple and dependable.

As for it sucking..I would cry tears. many tears.

I would continue to maintain my complete apathy towards it.
Our resident musician has preemptively ninja'd my response. That is to say, this.

If they release a demo then I'll give it a look. Otherwise, I'm not buying it until it ends up in the Steam's equivalent of a bargain bin.

Yup. As much as I love Bethesda as a developer, I'm not impressed by them as a publisher.

I'd cry for a bit, dig through all the "better" shooters, and go on an FPS binge to forget the horrible and mentally scarring experience.

Honestly since the first thing that crossed my mind was "what the heck is Brink?" I assume it wouldn't bother me.

Im buying solely based on the character customization so I doubt I'll be disappointed...

I'll scratch its name off my "Games to look into if they get good reviews" list

I guess I would just suck it up and carry on.

There will be plenty of other games worth my attention in very short time.

Holy shit, the game isn't even close to being released and it already has its own hipster counter-culture. Makes me want to pre-order right now.
You are aware that this happens for every game that is released, correct?

FINALLY someone doesn't have hatred or apathy towards a game that's made my year seem so much longer.
