The question is in the title. So for example........ If you're an Atheist you discover in some indisputable fashion be it via voice of god or scientific evidence, whatever not important, that say... Scientology is true. what would you do? dig out the six hundred dollar membership fee, get your angst on or whatever?
Me I honestly don't have an answer to that question but I am curios to hear other peoples.

Edit: It doesn't have to be Scientology you don't have to be an atheist for the question to apply. You could be Muslim, Christian, Jedi or anything of the like. Just answer of you feel like it.

Also I don't man to offend anyone (except filthys, anyone else read world shaker?).

Edit again: I mean fundamentally undeniably.

If scientology turned out to be true? Try to destroy Xenu. For everything else? Say "thats nice" and move along.

Well, I believe that things are theories and nothing is set in stone.
What would happen to the world if that was false? D:

Opposite? I'm not sure what the opposite of 'anything's possible' is...wait, nothing's possible? Oh dear God...

Oh well, live on in fantasy.

I'd jump off the Empire State Building. Not to commit suicide mind you, but rather to fly since the theory of gravity, along with the rest of science, is apparently false.

Considering one of my beliefs is that Pokemon is not true, thus in this case making it true.....
I'd go on a pokemon adventure!

If religion X's god popped down to me to show he/she/it existed...I'd have an awful lot of pointed questions about the way the world is.

I'd become a devout hater of marmite and start playing with the breasts I recently noticed I had and try to adjust to a life of being called Frederic.

Religion is too easy an angle. I'm not devout enough to care too much if mine is wrong. It'd be an interesting thing, but not really an issue.

Now, if you told me my belief that stupid people are wrong is an untrue statement, I'd probably have to kill you. No offense, it's just that if that were the case, I'd have to re-write a little history.

Listen to these men. They fight for Freedom.

OT: So, only the opposite of what we *believe* is now true? What about things we know to be true?

If the polar opposite of me turned out to be true? I'd be looking at a socialist, anti-abortion, anti-homosexual rights, anti-firearms, religious radical. I can't see how personal freedom to live and do business as one chooses could turn out to be false. If it did, at least I would have the right to bear arms on my side as a recourse.

Umm, I would change my beliefs to what can now be proven to be true?

That's what you're supposed to do after all...
I see no reason why someone wouldn't. That's the thing about proof.

I believe that everything is possible until proven otherwise, so this is impossible (Tee hee). Still, if such a situation did occur, I would change camps immediately- it is proven correct, after all.

I would burn in hell with all the interesting people.
Or I would go into a personal hell...heaven, where everyone is saying "I told you so" and being very unlikable and boring. (Not like you would be allowed to do all the fun stuff in heaven you cant do here :p )

From what I can tell, the opposite of what I believe would mean that life is pointless, there is no God, and the world is going to end very soon. I guess I'd just party till I burned out.
