What would you do with 7 Billion dollars?

So long as its mine permanently and you wont want the rest back some day im giving it all away to good causes. If I have not earned large sums of money such as that then I have no right to spend it upon myself plus it would make my own drives in life pointless.
I'd buy as much media as I could, get as much crap off the air as possible and subtly influence the minds of billions.

Well, given that I would only need a few million to live comfortably for the rest of my life without ever having to work, and probably having some left over to leave to my loved ones... I'd probably wind up investing a lot of that money into worthwhile projects to clean up seafront landscapes, and start revitalizing a number of neighborhoods that I think need attention.
As odd as it might sound given my right wing leanings, I do believe in charity, I just don't believe it should be mandatory. If I had THAT much money, WTF am I going to do with it is a good question.
Oh and perhaps most importantly, I'd probably put a couple of million away to gather interest and have myself cryogenically frozen, either before or after death, to be brought back when they could clone me a healthy body devoid of things like brain damage.
Investing in the space program might also be an option, since I do believe that way lies the future of humanity, but a lot would depend on who was in charge because with our leadership not taking it seriously I'd be concerned any money I donated would be siphoned for other causes.

I can think of several things I would do with it. Firstly there are several people I used to work with who are not in a good way financially and I would help them out in such a way that they wouldn't ever struggle again. Then there are some friends and family who I would also do the same for.
I think i should be able to find a way to push a million each of their ways, but set up into an untouchable account that just pays them the interest. They can't squander it but they will not struggle for the rest of their days. Anything they don't spend gets funneled back in at month end to increase the starting fund. It might not sound like a lot but its better than nothing.
Then ? I'd just disappear where ever I wanted to go.

Go on several trips that I've planned, buy my mother a new house and car, buy myself a car, treat my little brother to something and the rest would go away for the future or anything else I'd want. Some clothes would be nice seeing as I have probably one pair of pants at the minute.

Well, it's nice as a base, I give you that. But on the other hand I'm not sure how fast you can move that around because there's no way my doomsday machine will stay safe if I'm on a big floating thing in the middle of the ocean, especially one that lacks the only thing that made Stromberg's hideout acceptable: the ability to go under water.Noswad said:

I would drop the entire thing like a bomb on the game industry. I would be the single most important person in games since Miyamoto. I would found an amazing studio and start churning out damn good games and I'd act as a free publishing firm for independent studios and a nice publisher for bigger studios looking to put out games. If it's new, if it looks/sounds good, if I think the guys behind it might have something on their hands, they get the money. If they need under a million, consider it a gift. More than that, I'll ask for a cut of profits. Nothing major. Just enough that we're not doling out 20 million for nothing over and over. Of course we'd also provide valuable resources for indie studios and help newcomers onto their feet with the hopes that they might be self-sustaining after their time with us.
