Well, the problem is that players are being given the opportunity to play as the Taliban, right? That it's "in poor taste" to play as terrorists. If that's the case, the solution seems quite simple: make one side the American army, and the other side the British army. That way, nobody has to play as the bad guys! Simple!

The british and the american army are prolly the 'worst' guys you could play as. Britain for introducing the world to imperialism, and america for showing the world it still can be done.

Care bears. I don't get the controversy. If you played as one in a campaign mission and had to mow down innocent people...I'd get it. But multiplayer? It's mind boggling. Even back in the days of Counterstrike it was terrorists vs...whatever the other team was.

I wouldn't really want to replace the Taliban. Over the years we've all played as Nazis and Russians and various paramilitary terrorists that over the decades have been in conflicts with various branches of our armed services, why is it so controversial to play as the Taliban? What, too soon? Would it be more ok if we left it for fifty years like we did with the Nazis? [sub]Sorry, sorry, went off on one there.[/sub]
