I'd go for wolverine, but since he can theoretically live forever, and I have no wish to do so... no thanks.

Guess I'd go with Colossus than. Invulnerable but with an expiration date.

Id choose mimic, but there are no other mutants that i know of in the world to copy, so forget that...

Id go with Psylock, actually. Powerful telepathy and telekinesis, and a useful little psychic knife I can manifest at will around me hand. Sound good to me.

X-23 is totally badass, but not a power I'd love.
Probably Iceman or Hellion's power. Plain ol' telekinesis appeals to me.

Runner up: Mercury

I would kill a stranger with my bare hands to get Magneto's power. That would be BOSS. I could control anything metallic with a minimal amount of effort, which would be both practical and insanely cool. Somebody tries to shoot me? I stop their bullets, warp them into a nifty helmet, and them beat them down with an entire skyscraper, just for the lulz. Somebody complains about my rampant abuse of my powers? I jam a pipe so far up their **** that their loogies for the next four weeks will have a 50% iron content. Sombeody eggs my house on Halloween? I level their entire neighborhood with a flick of my wrist. Friend of mine says something stupid? I smack them upside the face with the USS Mobile. Army breaks out the plastic weapons?

OH SHI-

The runner-up would be Nightcrawler's agility and teleportation. Heck, I'd even take the freaky-ass cosmetics if I could do that.

Onslaught. He's a character. If you don't know, combine Professor X and Magneto. Literally.

If not him, then probably Apocalypse.

Insane amounts of power FTW!

EDIT: A question for someone who knows more about Wolverine- has he had his head cut off? If so, does it just grow back? It would seem like him losing his head would be rather hard to fix, unless he reaches up and puts it back on, or pulls some kinda Cell regrowth by being able to reform as long as one cell of him exists. But since decapitaion removes the blood and oxygen supply to the brain, which is needed to actually be alive, would his regenration simply stop?

I can't have Adamantium? Fine, then I want want the powers of Wolverine (superhuman senses, strength, speed, stamina, reflexs, and longevity, mutant healing factor, and retractable bone claws and YES he was born with those!)

Then I would go through the Weapon X program and get the Adamantium anyway.
Minus the senses, all of those superpowers come from wolverine being able to regenerate. His muscles heal quickly so he can build muscle and stamina faster, although by all means anyone who can lift more than about 1000lbs should look more like the Hulk than Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Also, the amount of energy Wolverine body must need in order to operate at peak capacity... He must eat like a dozen huge meals a day, or else his body would consume all of his muscle. In fact, anyone with his powers, or any physically demanding super-power, such as super-strength or agility, would have to eat massive amounts of food a day.

It's funny, when you add reality into comics, things get messed up.

Well either Wolverine because he's awesome (and canadian and i am canadian) or I'd like to have Kitty Pryde's powers cause she represents the tribe.

I've always had a liking for Storm's powers. Controlling the whether I imagine would make one feel godly. That and she can fly, which would also be excellent. It's a pity she doesn't seem particularly powerful in the movies.

I'd take Trance. Look her up, that's the shiz.

Or Mirage. Or Magik. Or Karma. Or Husk. Or Domino.

Huh, all the interesting powers went to women. Can't say I'm that surprised, it's the whole Knight/Princess schtick, the guys have the physical fighting powers (to protect the Princess while she's sealing/fully destroying the great evil), the girls have the more mystical stuff (to seal/fully destroy the great evil).

I like how no one has said Rogue's. Is that because her powers are turd? :D
As someone else said, Rogue has full control of her power now and is actually pretty awesome. At one point recently she took on the powers of about seven of the young x-men at once, and ripped this genetically engineered mutant hunting monster called a Predator X apart, all on her own. But still, her power's not that great a pick if there aren't other mutants around to leech off.

So for my pick, I'd go with the rather impressive power suite of Monet "M" St. Croix. She's virtually invulnerable, has a healing factor, she has enhanced senses and agility, can fly, has superhuman strength (10 tons), speed and agility and, to top it all off, is a telepath. Not quite in the league of Emma Frost or Professor X, but still. All those physical abilities AND telepathy? Yes please.

I always like Gambit's.

Also, if you check the continuity, he was born with super-duper mega strong powers, that Mr Sinister took away (by stealing part of his brain . Wiki it.

Oh...are we talking comic X Men or movie? 'Cos I've only seen the movies...and she was pretty much in turmoil with her powers so...
But I'm in love with Anna Paquin, so I won't have a bad word said about her!!! Other than by me...on gaming forums...

I know she's meant to be a youngling in the movies, but why didn't they show some development of her skills? I mean, Pyro learnt how to use fire better, even Wolverine grew as a fighter. So...why was Rogue the only one not to? She seemed pretty helpless all the way through. Even nearly dying at one point...

Deadpool. It's pretty much wolverines healing ability but it comes with an added sarcastic wit.
Actually, Deadpool was only born with super strength and super agility. He was given Wolverine's healing powers which caused the aggressive form of cancer he had to make his body break out completely in tumors. It also made him insanse because his brain cells are constantly dying and being reborn

Cyclops laser eyes, I've always wanted laser eyes, and I would be able to control them. I can imagine walking into a room full of dangerous mutants and just spray them with lasers, LASERS FOR THE WIN!!!

No, he wasn't. Deadpool is human. He trained in martial arts and crap so he's better than most as far as athleticism. You're right about the rest, but he is still human. (well I guess now he'd be "super human," but yeah...still human.)
