I've learned how forums can be nice, and aren't always filled with tw***. And some useless facts. Oh, and how to rant and be extremely hateful to everything that exists (mostly from Yahtzee).

I learned the Water Temple was overly frustrating...not that I found it that way but okay.

I also learned that if you dislike Halo for the story, people will assume you are a hater, never played it, or never played a [combination of the three games] until you claim you did and then your opinion is fine.

Well, it is my thread. I know, I hate myself.
But the escapist also taught me that eating is the way to solve my problems.

I've learned many things like:

The internet isn't 100% full of idiots who curse at other people and argue over trivial things. (Most of it is, but this place is like a safe haven).

That the search bar is the heart of this site.

That people can start a conversation on basically any topic and not get laughed at and made fun of.

I have also all but eliminated my "MSN codes", saying things like "wat", "how r u 2day", and "k" (instead of okay). I still use "lol" though.

I also actually capitalize titles and beginnings of sentences now. YAY!

So it's the Escapist just recently turned four years old and I have joined only a month ago. However, as recent as I joined, I've blended in nicely and I've learned so much here.
I've learned about trolling.
I've learned how to avoid a flame war.
I've learned to use the search bar.
And I've learned that SPELL CHECK IS [color= gold]GOLDEN[/color].
So I ask all the Escapists what have you learned here?
EDIT: I also learned that Max the Reaper has an odd and disturbing amount of popularity here on this site.

It's okay I don't much care for Max, he strikes me as shooting into forums saying something snide and running before his opinions can be challenged, but I'm new and opinionated.

OT: That flaming is not so common here and that I know very little about forums.
