So tell me Escapist forum community, what books are we reading as of now? Or what books look interesting and you want to get a hold of?

I'm trying to get a hold of Angels & Demons to find out what the frick the Illuminati is. Ifm also looking into the rest of that whole Da Vinci code series thing. Also, reading Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe for class.

British Failures, I think, can't remember the title.
It's about the biggest British failures, for example:

Stupidest Tourist

[a man] was flying to Rome, and the plane had to stop to refuel in New York. The man got off, thinking he was in Italy, and didn't notice for two days.

There's more detail than that, but I can't be bothered to typr it all.

Second, Flying Dutch by Tom Holt - it's awesome!
Ehh, the most recent is 20 days ago. I think that's a fair interval. I should be more careful but I think that's fair.

On my night-stand:
"Batavia's Graveyard - [small]The True Story of the Mad Heretic Who Led History's Bloodiest Mutiny[/small]" by Mike Dash

In my bag for work and public transportation:
"Julius Caesar - [small]Man, Soldier & Tyrant[/small]" by Maj. Gen. J.F.C. Fuller

I'm on a bit of a history kick as off late, the last fiction novel I read was "Lord of the Rings"

Currently:
  • Wagner the Werewolf GWM Reynolds (a classic "penny dreadful")
The Book of Genji Murasaki Shikibu (translated, obviously)
Introduction to Electrodynamics Griffiths (revising classical electrodynamics)
Numerical Recipes in C++ (the chapter on spectral applications of FTs)
    Various scientific papers...
And I somehow have time for gaming on top of all that.

I just finished reading Animal Farm by George Orwell and now I'm about to read 1984, also by Orwell. I loved Animal Farm so I'm hoping that 1984 is just as good.

I don't.

I'm getting annoyed at repeat threads - there used to be almost solely good, original threads, while Kraken and Mentor were still at large, but alas, no more.

I know we always hated when people tell us to UTSB, but I'm beginning to see why they do. Really, think before you create. Your answers will be on the other topic.

Ha Ha!

Alas good chum, that's not what they are reading NOW! From which the thread is asking =3

Score one for the Republic! =)
