Please tell me you're talking about the Spyro series collectively, and not just the original Spyro the dragon series. If you're talking about the former, it has, unfortunately, yet to die. Harry potter games in general. They were generally pretty poor (I don't think I've seen one since chamber of secrets).

i would say prince of persia, but i dont know if that franchise died. I think that new one killed it. too bad, the 1st game was so awsome, the rest was horrible
