I don't put on weight, yet. Although if I did it would be football(soccer) with friends probably.

Eat right, next time you feel hungry or thirsty, eat an apple instead of something bad for you, and drink water instead of soda, also cuts back on acne

If you gotta eat a snack, and you're gonna have something kinda unhealthy, combine it with something healthy (orange and 2 Oreos, for example), find stuff that's delicious and nutritious (I've lost weight by eating soup for at least one meal a day), and don't starve yourself.
Eat less, but not so little that you're hungry all day (maybe just a sandwich and a drink for lunch, with something kinda snacky to go with)

Focus on leg exercises, you will build of larger muscle mass and it will deal with the fat all over your body while you sleep, as your muscles will repair using stored energy resurves, fat.

I know off topic but its proboly the simplist way, then changing your whole diet, unless you eat a pallet of cake per day, if so DAMN!!

Stop eating a lot. If you learn to count calories and learn how many calories a person of your age, gender, and height should eat in a day, you can simply eat less calories than you need. The speed of the fat loss depends mainly on your muscle mass, as the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn simply existing. Also, your body only takes fat from places it wants to. Working out a specific area over and over doesn't necessarily work off fat in that area.

I personally lost weight by eating only meat and leafy greens. This cuts out all bread, potatoes, nuts and such. I would suggest if you're going to take this route to talk to a nutritionist to see what vitamins you need to take so that you won't get a deficiency. Alternatively, just cut back on the carbs, eat less calories, and stick to taking one multivitamin per day religiously.

I'd like to clarify that I am not a nutritionist, a doctor, a dietitian, or any other form of expert in this field. This is mostly just from experience. I would not recommend working out at the same time as cutting calories, since this will send your body into an extremely low energy state and possibly affect your emotions (irritable, depression, etc.). Good luck!

There's honestly no quick fix. Your options are limited to eating healthier - portion control is important here, most people eat portions of food that are just too big - and exercising more.
It is likely going to be unpleasant, and there's no way around that because you're basically trying to get your body to eat up fat by convincing it that it is starving. Try drinking water if you're feeling hungry, it actually fills you up fairly well and can keep you from snacking too frequently. That's about all I got.

...that's how i did it: i started going out at evenings for maybe an hour or so, everyday, just walking. some time later i started jogging for approximately half an hour each day.
don't hurry with this, take your time, step by step, listen to music while you're out doing stuff, it relaxes you, believe me.
only downside is you have to have some discipline, but hey, i think you really have 30 minutes to 1 hour of a day to spare, don't you?

This works for everyone:

Eat less, eat more health, exercise more.

And don't stop doing that when you reach your goal, you'll just end up fat again.

I've lost about 40 pounds since August, and my technique was pretty much this - stop eating junk and work out. Cut out deserts, especially unhealthy foods, and make a strict work out schedule.

I know, it takes a while, and it seems pretty dull and restrictive, but it works.

I enjoy running, so that part isn't hard. Especially living on the beach makes running the part of my day I look forward to most. But eating habits are tougher to change. It isn't just about "putting the fork down". Habits are conditioned, making us want to go back to them.

Good rules to follow:
-Buy your own food. This means eat out as little as you can.

-Don't buy groceries while hungry. I've always heard this. It doesn't seem like an absolute must, but it can't hurt to follow the rule.

-Get food you like. Have a sweet tooth? Get fruit. I think a lot of healthy food tastes great (better than junk food, for sure)

-Get replacement foods (especially important when you're just starting a diet). You like ice cream? Get frozen yogurt. Potato chips? Get pita chips. And so on.

-Look at the labels of what you buy. Those healthy granola bars that you're using to curb your snack cravings are probably not much better than what you were eating. Look at calories and what is in it. Avoid the corn syrup.

-Slowly whittle down your portion sizes. I'd bet your portions are much larger than they should be. Just slowly go less and less with it.

-Don't do too much too fast. A bunch of the things I've said suggest this, but it needs to be said outright. It is both a mental thing and a physical thing. New habits have to be reinforced gradually. Don't shock yourself, in other words.

Also note that you can't spot reduce. This has been said and proven over and over. It's just not going to happen. Have realistic goals about what you want to change (eating habits), what you want to do (excercise), and how you want to look. It's better to have attainable goals and meet them. Then you can make new goals.

Easiest way.

Learn to love exercise.

Do something fun, like extreme frisbee (It's real), or play a sport with mates, or walk and read (Use peripheral vision to avoid obsticals) , or add exercise to your commute (Take stairs the last level on way to work, park as far from door as possible in carpark, get off the bus/train one stop early and walk the rest of the way.)

and

Cut out all non-water beverages. Even tea, unless it's like unsweetened tea with no milk.

Harder way is to improve how you eat, and how much you eat, if that's something you're interested in PM me because I'm sick of trying to give general advice in forums and simplifying it then having it not apply to people who take the advice and it's bad for them.
