What's Britian like?

Also I like it here, if thats anything to go by. I prefer London to Paris, Madrid, Brussels or Berlin(out of the European capitals I've visited). Don't think the country is any better or any worse than others - in comparison to the US (for example) there's parts of the US that I'd sooner live in than where I do now and parts I'd hate to live in.

I really don't like it, and I live here. Britain is basically a bit crap these days. Completely run down, dirty, with trains and busses that don't run, and chavs everywhere asking for you to go into the off-license for them.

Where do you bloody live?!

OT: It's cool - ignore the minor group BNP retards and everyone's OK. The weather's constantly in a state of 'meh' though.

Good old English self-deprication. Too many Daily Mail readers perhaps. End of the day Britain isn't it that bad, yes we've seen better days, chavs seem to be out of control etc but it could be worse.
I have lived in North Wales, Huddersfield, York and Nottingham. Like everwhere in the world there are bad patches but Jesus Christ brighten up, out of all the places in the world Britain is still up there with the best places to live. Anyone saying they found it boring is a bit of a moron, an interesting person will find something interesting to do.

This, sometimes I think we take the piss out of ourselves so much that some people have started believing it. Nothing more to add, this guy said it all.

I'm Cymry (Welsh XD) so britain for me is nice lots of cold weather which suits me fine, and gorgeous landscapes...also racism...lots of racism...I dunno why the English don't like us they invaded our lands after all!! I used to live in Greenfield, Clwyd, not sure what the county's called now. From my experiences the English still rule North Wales, one woman on my street drove to Chester because she didn't want her baby to be Welsh.
I love Wales though

It's pretty good I suppose, obviously there are problems, as previous posts have indicated (looking at you chavs). Thankfully where I live there are little to no chavs within a 20-minute drive radius. And they can only get here by having their mums drop them off outside Tesco.

I found it to be the other way round myself.
The South has nicer weather but I was bored to death down there. The people in the North are also much friendlier and easier to approach.

not everyone in Yorkshire uses t' in front of every other word mainly its the older generation that do.
But anyway come to Britain and most people will treat you like god because we love other accents (that's why we have so many) but if you have a bad time don't tell others that its all shit just say that the isolated incident was bad.
