What's happened with this site's design?

Fire your webdesigner, seriously. Over the course of a year, maybe a year and a half, site has become completely unnavigable, un-intuitive, and heavy, bloated with crap. If your intention was to look more like every other generic community newssite/gaming website, you've succeeded, but I hardly see that as something to aspire to. I have more trouble finding what I'm looking for ( especially anything older than 2 days).

The site is neatly ordered along the top of any page of the site with the menus and profile corner. Of course it's going to take a while for you to find everything again after a redesign.

The sites takes longer to load than ever before. It's gotten to the point where I seriously don't enjoy coming to the site anymore.

I'm not sure where this is coming from. The site is much MUCH faster than it was a few months ago! Kross must be feeding the hamsters rocket fuel!

And I can't believe that I'm alone here. I can deal with the forced advertisements crammed down my throat, though it's not earning you my friendship, I can deal with longer load-times when a new Zero Punctuation has just been released, but I swear, this site design is AWFUL.

Well the site needs to make money. Advertising is an unfortunate reality of the Internet. ZP Wednesdays are so much better now that I don't even realise the slow down personally.

Disliking the redesign is your opinion but the site staff are taking all opinions and suggestions on how to improve everything. Nothing is set in stone if there is a glaring flaw. There's an official thread and the Redesign User Group which the staff run with which to provide constructive criticism. Simply saying "fire your webdesigner" is not constructive.
