It appears to be going through the wormhole that Dave Bowman discovered orbiting Jupiter in 2001: A Space Odyssey. My suggestion? Call up the support line, see if the warranty's still good or just plain lie, they usually don't care that much. Meanwhile, pop in Pink Floyd's 'Echoes', roll a joint, and enjoy.

I WISH my Xbox did something that cool when it RRODed last week.

I had this problem for about 2 hours of constant trying before i got 1 red light and E74. It's a similar problem to RROD but with the GPU instead.

'Fraid it's probably busted and not covered by warrantee.
RROD is still gpu, just slightly diffenrent error.

For the op, there are lots of videos on youtube on how to fix gpu errors (RROD, E74 and your problem) you could fix it yourself, or find someone who has done it before and get them to do it, I have performed the x-clamp fix on my xbox, and it has only red ringed once since then (2 years ago) and that was easily fixed with a bit of tweaking.

still its so wrong that the systems are dieing so often and so badly that a special warranty is needed. Seriously is our tech getting so cheap and nasty it cant survive a measley 4-5 years before heading to the grave?
My original PS2 lasted like 6ish IIRC, and even then it was just the laser and I could have had it fixed.

Looks like the graphic card/video card problem I had. I never did get the RROD even after leaving it on all night or doing anything... But it was pretty fun to play like that for a while - like an acid trip.
Microsoft didn't cover it, so I paid them, hooked up my old Playstation and started playing Final Fantasy IX and waited until I got it back.

Eh I guess I'm going to have to buy a new one. This really sucks but thanks for the help.
Why buy a new one when you can possibly fix it? Seriously. The man's given you some advice, now look for some more advice guides on how to fix it, and then at least try and fix it. You've got nothing to lose.
