I dunno what people think of my name. Apparently some minor musician uses the same name, and there's a site called Knitting Knonsense (both of these facts courtesy of Google), but other than that it doesn't carry much meaning. I remember thinking that I wanted a neon sign with nonsense written on it with a silent 'k' once.

I've been using Scrythe as my username for over six years now, and I'm finding it increasingly hard to be able to USE my own username due to someone stealing it and using it on every possible forum/MMO/whatever. Even on the Zune social... thing. Lately I've been having to use TheScrythe as my user for things like Zune or Games For Windows Live due to this. Almost every realm in World of Warcraft has a level 1 Scrythe for whatever reason.

Another thing that irks me is when people try to find some off-the-wall and far fetched explanation to it's meaning. It means absolutely nothing in any language whatsoever. I made it up when I was in Unreal Tournament... err, tournaments when I was a freshmen in high school and it's stuck since. I've heard some crazy things from people like "Doesn't Scrythe means 'fairy' in German?" or something to that effect. (It's "fee", by the way, in case you're wondering)

Khedive Rex? I'm not really sure how people respond to it.

... It's got K's and X's and stuff so I suppose it's possible people would think of it as a random RPG generated name, even though it's not. If they're familiar with Latin they might catch the reference to nobility...

I guess I'll ask, how does "Khedive Rex" strike you?

There's two things in my name, let's look at them:

1. Booze, a liquid known for it's addictive qualities and ability to render people incomprehensible.

2. Zombie, an undead creature known for cannibalistic tendencies and confused warbling.

Combined: A zombie that drinks alcohol instead of eating flesh, his undeath being powered by the wonders of booze, a Booze Zombie. He is still rendered a rambling wreck, but it's hard to tell where drunkenness ends and undeath begins in that respect.

He's the most awesome zombie ever, yo!

To me though, you'll always be that Freud guy who did the Yahtzee thread on WarCry.
Yeah, thats what I remeber him for too.

Nobody seems to notice me. I'd rather catch some flak than none at all, at least than it means people cared enough to look.

Does anyone else notice that they get treated differentedly because of their usernames? I mean, I catch a lot of flack for mine. If my name was fuzzykittenshark231 and I had an avatar of a fluffy bunny [http://images.google.ca/images?rlz=1C1GGLS_enCA301CA303&hl=en&q=fluffy+bunny], I'm sure I could get away with a lot more instead of being called out for having a "throbbingego, hurr hurr." I know what my username is. I chose it. Repeating my username to me is not witty.

It was even worse when I had my Freud avatar, and people thought everything I was saying related back to one of Freud's theories. I picked it for irony with my name, which I picked in honor of my blog at the time. Not because I'm into early psychoanalyst theory.

Anyway, what do you think that people think of you, because of your username?
My 'friends' tell me they find it hard to believe I'm a guy looking at my posts, username, and avatar. "Dude, only girls use alliteration and/or 'monkey' in their username. And your avatar doesn't help you either." But I can't change it. (Although I really couldn't think of anything better as a username. I was playing "bloons" with the monkeys and stuff, and the only thing I remembered in school one day was my teacher yelling at everyone to use the 'metric' units on the ruler.)

Why can't you change the avatar? Mojo Jojo would suit your name pretty well.

I was actually talking about the username. And I really don't wanna browse for like half an hour on what pic looks the best.

I think that suits sonic pretty well.

Sega, if you're reading this, don't make an open world parkour-based Sonic game. That's... that's not going to be well received.

my username probably makes... um... i have no idea what reactions are too it. no one has ever told me anything definitive about it, despite the fact i use it everywhere.

people often treat me as a bit unstable, but that's how i get treated in reality as well, so im not sure whether that counts.

Which one? Sonic Racing, or the upcoming one? Or that skateboard, nay, gravity board thing?

Edit: Crap, there's a whole series of them!

Edit redux: It gets worse.
