There are a lot for me. the Res evil films, silent hill, transformers 1 and 2, just to name a few. First, let me say that a film doesn't need to be all that in depth for me to enjoy it... transformers rubbed my "Cool, explosions!" spot pretty good, even if the prose was kind of lacking... Basically, I like a wide variety of movies for a wide variety of reasons.

One thing that bothers me is the way people tend to attack fans for enjoying certain things, like the way Movie Bob (Prick) attacked me by making it seem like people who enjoy transformers must be completely retarded (something he does a lot). The idea that one persons taste in movies is somehow "better" then another is just typical, chest beating, holier-then-thou bullshit, and it's freaking everywhere. Just wanted to get that out there ;)

Kill Bill. I honestly though this movie had nothing but love, but most of the time all I see is hate.

I Am Legend is another film that I liked that others hated, but even I must admit they were kinda lazy with the CGI.

Stardust.

It's not so much a 'everyone seems to hate' film as a 'everyone between 13-40 ignores' film, but I have a real soft spot for it.

Southland Tales. It was the very poorly recieved second movie by the director of Donnie Darko. I love Southland Tales, I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. And a lot of my friends do like to remind me of how bad they think it is on a regular basis.
This may sound like an attack but I fucking hate Southland Tales, whenever anyone asks me what the worst film I have ever seen is thats my go to answer.

That's funny, I always saw the opposite with those movies, everyone loves them while I....well, I hate Kill Bill. Pulp Fiction is still great if not annoying at times...=P

As for me, I always liked Michael Bay's The Island, honestly I think it's his best and most interesting film.

The second one is probably one of my favorite movies, Army of Darkness can run head first into a swinging recking ball for all I care.

28 weeks later. I thought that movie was an awesome sequel to 28 days and actually has me thinking 28 months could be the end of a great trilogy... If they are still making it.

I am legend. Nothing but contempt. Usually because no one seems to understand what the movie is about since they changed the ending. If you hate that movie check out the directors cut and realize that the monster are not god damn vampires. THEN if you still hate it it's fine by me.

Irreversible (2002, Gaspar Noe).

Multiple times friends have told me to, 'turn this shit off, NOW!".

No big surprise about the reactions, really, but I do think it's a great movie. That said, it was the first movie my ex girlfriend and I shared and she loved it. Good 5 year relationship. Still friends.

yeah, well almost nobody I know enjoys anything Tarantino has made since Jackie Brown. I think his movies are all bloody brilliant for one reason or another.

I'm with you on The Island. Michael Bay hasn't made much else I've liked.

I remember my family didn't like District 9. Not sure why. Something about, "OH BECAUSE THE PREVIEWS MADE IT LOOK LIKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT," I believe.

A little less on topic, I remember seeing a movie that was probably the worst film I've ever seen, [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1339307/] which was likely why I thought it was the best film I'd ever seen [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Ptitlethsq3mffp09i?from=Main.SoBadItsGood].

My friends and I love Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, but it only got negative reviews.
That movie was probably one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, although I was thirteen and it was four in the morning at a sleep over, but STILL!

OT: Uhm... I guess I would have to say...idk... I don't think I really have many, I generally like the likeable things, I'll update this after I see sorcerers apprentice today, perhaps everyone will hate that and I will love it lol

I like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

People rage about how it has nothing to do with Final Fantasy, how it almost destroyed Square or how the "Digital Actors" were overhyped, and how the plot has weird plot device stuff going on, aaaand...they are right.

Still, i like it. The Characters may ACT wooden, but they are kinda sympathetic, it has a great mood going on, a predictable but still engaging plot and visually, it's mind blowing.

Not exactly from a technical standpoint mindblowing, at least nowadays, but it has awesome art direction, design, and many many cool moments that you want to make a wallpaper of.

So yeah, in the end i mostly like it because it looks good, but since people like Michael Bay exist i don't really feel too bad about liking this little big disappointment.

I actually liked the entire Aliens Quadrilogy... including the seemingly universally hated Alien 3 and Aliens: Resurection.
