The most recent that comes to mind is ff13. Love the franchise but after I got past the amazing cinematic's the dismal gameplay really brought me down.

Medal of Honour, hands down worst game of 2010. Crappy n' short campaign, highly unlikeable characters and shitty story telling. The multiplayer is repeatative and mundane. The gameplay is just soooo boring and shooting people is even worse. Screw you DICE!

Lately? I haven't played bad games lately... Silent Hill: Homecoming (PC), maybe.

Do you guys know Hundred Swords (PC)? That's really, really mindblowingly bad game.

that would be Front Mission Evolved, it's a game with customizable Mech's but for some reason the developers found it neccesary to force you to use certain parts and include parts in the game where you fight without a Mech -_-

That was pretty damn terrible, but I found Far Cry 2 from 2009 to be worse.
Hey, I loved Far Cry 2, beautiful game. Yeah I suppose most of missions where composed of go here, destroy or kill this etc, but it did it so well. And I love sniping from a hillside, taking out a guys leg and luring out his buddies and wound them too. I do understand where your coming from.

Fallout 3.

Not a bad game by itself, but as a sequel to Fallout 1 & 2 it failed miserably.
The combat system was shit, NPCs were just as deep inside the uncanny valley as they were in TES4:Oblivion and none of sense of freedom and moral ambiguity of the original Fallout games was preserved.
The consequences of your choices were always obvious and at no point were the consequences severe enough to make a difference. Have u just nuked a town? Just give the beggars some water and everybody will like you again!

Alone in the Dark for the Wii. The graphic is utterly terrible and the driving part is dreadful. I also don't get why the plot is different to the 360/PS3 version (in the Wii you had a blond companion but on the other console she is brunette).

i cast my vote for black ops (ima pc gamer). the graphics were worse than MW2, the campaign was about 4 hours, 5 at most. even when i got into the multiplayer i just didn't find it as good as previous COD games. sniping was absolutely pointless, the maps were too small, or when they were big there was no open spaces, it was all used up so again, no sniping.

all of these problems i could have overlooked, if the game didn't run like a pile of arse, had to wait around 3-4 weeks to be able to play it online properly, and even then it was laggy as hell with connection issues (no its not my pc, it runs every other game fine).

if it weren't for zombie mode i would have completely regretted buying this game, but even zombies has trouble connecting friends online =\

Prototype.

I liked it at the beginning what with the taste of power and all that, but the initial thrill went away in about an hour or so.

Then the story got stupider as the game progressed.

And then the characters got on my nerves and I wished them a happy nuclear winter.

And then the mechanics got a bit more confusing and hard to use.

And then the tough mooks started coming out of everywhere and ruining your day.

And then the mini-bosses showed up and became cheap.

And after all of that, the game then decided to have a point where it racked up the tough mooks and mini-bosses while you were tasked to guard this silly piece of equipment while also sharing a field with people who, as soon as the real threat is gone, will turn on you and whittle your health down further so you'll be easier to die from the inevitable resurgance of the tough mooks/mini-bosses.

Needless to say, I wasn't too pleased with the game at that point.

Too Human goes with out saying as number one, but a close second is Jedi Power Battles for ps1. So much platforming on an engine not designed for it, so little combat, absolutely no save points, so much fail.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing

I heard about how bad it is and wanted to see for myself. And I assure you, it is an atrociously bad game. Nothing already mentioned in this thread even comes close. At least they're more or less functional games.

tales of vesperia for the xbox 360, i dont even know if it was any good, i quit playing after i found out it was just a fucking beta for the ps3 version with bug fixes and new content, then they did the same thing to the wii. I'm never buying a game from them again

It's the most mindbogglingly bad game ever made.

Lunar: Dragon Song

Annoying and shallow characters
Insignificant and cliche ridden plot
Turn based battle system from around the dark ages (you couldn't even pick your target)
Pointless magic system (all skills do same DMG with the same MP cost and hit all targets)
Only way to make money was fetch quests
Some of the worst design decisions in gaming history
- Introducing a new party member only to kill him off after a single dungeon
- Absurdly expensive items and weapons that were lost if the character left your party
- Characters leaving and re-entering your party every five minutes...

It's the only game I've played that was so horrible that I'm forced to assume the Dev team all had mandatory lobotomies.
