Modding can extend a games shelf life by years. That's not to be underestimated. How many games to you buy in a year that you play for a month and then drop? The amount of money you could save by playing your favorite PC game as it is modded and modded again might even save you more money than your PC cost in the first place.CaptQuakers said:I'm not being funny but most of you guys seem to like games on the PC because you can change them. That seems a really weak reason to prefer a Pc
Not really. If you need a PC to do other things, and most people do, then you would have to spend several hundred on the basic model. So you only need to spend a few hundred more on a video card, RAM, etc. to make the basic model into a pretty good gaming computer.Pc gaming can be good but It had numerous flaws.
1. Graphics issues: You need to fork out nearly 3 times as much to play PC games at the highest level than you would with a console
This one is true, but it is also easier to play PC games over the internet.2. Friends: Pc gaming is no good If you have mates over.
And your attitude is any better? Seriously.3.Pc gamers general attitude: No offence you guys can be complete and utter cocks and you don't like playing with new players......At all
How many people have had to deal with the Red Ring of Death?4.Pc games can be very weird: What do I mean by this. They can crash for no reason whatsoever or they can work fine and then decide they want to make you cry.
Yeah sorry about that I just did not think many people actually had played it on the old 64.Giuglea said:your the second one telling me that ^-^ph3195k9 said:Well actually there was starcraft 64...even though controlwise it was awfulGiuglea said:can i play starcraft on a console...?i guess not..that is all...

Almost everything here except "I can build my own machine" because I'm dumb and can't ^^TestECull said:For me, it's quite a few things.

I don't have to buy a new machine every few years, merely upgrade the one I have
I can build my own machine
It's reliable
Backwards compatibility with older titles is guaranteed
I can do way more with a PC than I can a console
Multiplayer is free
I have games like Garry's Mod and Minecraft
Driving/flying sims run better
More mods!
Oh and I can still use console controllers if I want. I have a 360 pad for driving/flying centric games
Hmmm this is a good point and mods are fun. But liking PC gaming for that one reason seems abit silly to me.C.S.Strowbridge said:Modding can extend a games shelf life by years. That is true but If we are talking PC's for just pure gaming (and I mean better than console gaming) we are talking alot of cash. I know I have looked. Although I still want one.....And if I'm honest If I could justify the money I would spend on the pc I know I would become a PC gamer and although I would love to I know I can't.Not really. Although this is a HUGE problem I can always send my Xbox off for a nice holiday. When a game stops working on my pc I end having to go searching the forums myself and that can take a lonngggg time and 100% of the time If I put the disc in my XBOX it's going to work and I dont need to worry about It could I say the same about my pc games ?How many people have had to deal with the Red Ring of Death?
I skipped this problem by only playing with people I know. And this opinion is from wow so maybe a bit bias. There is only so many times I can be called a noob before someone gets a fork In the eyeAnd your attitude is any better? Seriously.
Console flamewars are legendary, so attacking PC gamers for attitude is a joke.
Give it time, man . . . slowly improve your usage skills with a mouse and keyboard, and slowly tighten the sensitivity settings. Invest into a dedicated gaming keyboard (i.e. Ideazon mercSTEALTH keyboard [http://shop.steelseries.com/index.php/keyboards/merctm-stealth-illuminated-gaming-keyboard.html]) and gaming mouse (i.e. Razer DeathAdder mouse [http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169416100/categoryId.35208800]), and continue to hone your sensitivity levels. you'll find your reaction times will greatly improve, and so will your accuracy.theonlyblaze2 said:I have just gotten into PC gaming, but I can't really say it is superior to Console gaming. Everyone I know says it is more accurate for shooters(which I play mostly), but I can't really tell the differce. The addition of mods is a huge plus for some games though.
Yea, most fun I've ever had online, for 20 bucks.LightOfDarkness said:Why?

damn right! plus If you really cant get oyur head around mouse and keyboard then get a gamepad, thats what I did for assins creed PLUS if you have a laptop theres portability which is awsome!Evilpigeon said:Barring a few exclusive games, what does a console have to offer me that I can't get on a pc?
It's more work to get everythign going on a pc but you get more fo a reward too.
