Samurai Pizza Cats (it goes by the Japanese name of the anime, but everyone is less likely to know what I'm talking about with that) for the Famicom for only $2. I got it on ebay, I think.

My $9.95 Au. pre-owned copy of Shadow of the Colossus, the only copy I could find in a store last year, without a cover or instruction book, but with a surprisingly functional disc.

Halo wars for $50 because madden 2007 for 360, and espn baseball something and Furon Frenzy (AHHHHHH) for original xbox free because they had no store credit.
So... your saying that the cheapest game you have ever bought was $50? Wow.

OT: Puzzle Quest for 99 cents at EB Games is the cheapest game I can recall buying.
the way i see it its not how much you spend, but what you get with it.
But if I understood your first post correctly, you bought halo wars, then they decided to give you those other games because they had no retail value whatsoever. It's not as if it was a bundle deal (unless it was a bundle deal, and I'm just misunderstanding). So, basically you only actually bought halo wars.

Total Annihilation for $2 in CompUSA's bargain bin. Best 2 bucks I've ever spent.

There was also Diablo II for $4 at a garage sale a week after it came out. That was a shocker.

i got a copy of mass effect 2 limited edition for watching my friends daughter.
Ummm...
Wow.
I am really jealous now......

Anyway.
My cheapest purchase would have been Mortal Kombat: Deception for $11, used, with booklet, at EB Games.
Disc was a bit iffy, but thanks to a chipped XBox, NO DISC REQUIRED!
Yay!

Either that, or Morrowind GOTY for $15, and considering it's all 3 parts, it could be classified as $5 a game.
Somehow, I still have the map that came with it.
Not useful, but a nice decoration.

A game called Forced Alliance. I got it for $9.99 at like an EB Games or something. A space flight simulator/dogfighter. You play as a human who's fighting an alien race... at least initially. And the first thing you notice is that the alien ships have these massive laser sword things on their wings that can kill you instantly. It was really challenging.

But the best thing is how involved the story was. You're choices throughout the game affected what alliances you form, including with or against your initial enemy and maybe even causing certain enemies to appear and/or not appear. This affected what choices you could make later in the game, all the way up to several different kinds of endings. And you had to really work hard if you wanted one direction as opposed to another that was much easier.

The only problems were these:

If you've done well enough, at some point you're promoted to captain and then you don't get to participate in random skirmishes anymore. It's got a real Star Trek TNG feel, you assign who goes on what assignments based on their skills and you become more of a diplomat who only pilots a fighter if it's an important battle. And it takes a lot of reading mission debriefings to find out how the story is changing.

I only ever got it to work once... in Windows 95... and I'm shocked I ever managed. The game came out in 1997 and the graphics, the flight sim part, were top notch. It's just that the compatiblity issues were massive.

No wait... it was Double Dribble for the NES... $1.50. What an unfair question...
