Cheapest individual purchase, or cheapest price when divided by the number of games in the package? Because for individual purchases, the absolute cheapest would be Civilization I, which I found in a record shop for $1, as well as Civ II, which I picked up in a dollar store a year later. Cheapest for the package would probably be Civ I again, because there was another game on the disc, making it $0.50 for each game. The first three Heroes of Might and Magic games are a close runner up, because I got them at a thrift shop for $2 total, or roughly $0.66 a piece. Cheapest recent game, not counting the free copy of Portal, would be Oblivion, which I got for $2 at the same thrift shop I picked up the HOMM games.

I love buying used.

Edit: Just remembered, I got Ultrabots for $0.14 at EB Games when they were getting rid of all their old/used PC games. That is almost certainly my absolute cheapest. In my defense for getting such a crappy game, it had been sitting on the shelf for years, and it always looked interesting to me, but not interesting enough to actually buy what was obviously a shovelware clone of Mechwarrior II. If I had known what was really going on with the sale, which was advertised as, I believe, an after Thanksgiving sale (it was some holiday), I would have grabbed Half Life and Rainbow Six at the very least. There hasn't been a major store carrying used PC games since =(

I payed 1 cent (Canadian) for my friend's copy of Vagrant story for the PS1.

very underrated, and my personal favorite RPG for the PS1
I think we might have a winner, but keep em coming! I think it's fascinating to see computer games go on fire-sale prices, and I'm particularly curious about what titles go at these prices. I'm surprised to see a few decent titles like Mafia on this list.
I gave my uncle a penny for dungeon keeper and the first sims game when i was 9 or so.

2 games for a penny? 0.5p a game? :)
Doesn't win the thread, as 1 canadian cent comes out to less than an american cent, and more so with a british penny; I think that's still the lowest so far. With that said, good on you. Cheap games are always awesome, doubly so if you're nine at the time. :)
I think you'll find that i am from england, and according to google:

0.01 British pounds = 0.0153194132 Canadian dollars

I raise my monacle to you, sir, your knowledge of currency has defeated me.

Dreamfall: the longest journey £1.40 if you don't count delivery Bloodey DRM on was incompatible with vista so I had to pirate it anyway.

A mate of mine did buy Baldur's Gate 2 out of charity shop for a quid so he's got me beat.

I got Portal for free.
I am going to have to agree with this guy and Portal is going to hold that record until someone pays me to take a game.

Bought? Quake 4. And I very quickly realized why. How could they do that to my awesome series? How?!

I gotten a bunch for free, but that was stuff from my friends or discounts of really good but old games, which I don't count.

So... your saying that the cheapest game you have ever bought was $50? Wow.

OT: Puzzle Quest for 99 cents at EB Games is the cheapest game I can recall buying.
