I need to get me one of those.

LOL - I stand corrected, that is very cool...Vriggchan said:explaination for nuclear rockets [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_thermal_rocket]
Hydrogen fuel cells may produce heat, however, its negligible compared to almost all other means. And anyway, the decompression of the hydrogen cools a lot more.RAKtheUndead said:I was thinking more along the lines of nuclear pulse projection [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_pulse_propulsion] myself.Vriggchan said:explaination for nuclear rockets [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_thermal_rocket]
Well, you're going to have to remove the heat from a spaceship anyway, probably with a system of externally-mounted fins with as much surface area as possible. Even hydrogen fuel cells produce heat.Crabid said:If you are in space you have about no way to get rid of the thermal energy since the only form of heat loss in a spaceship is radiation, so unless you have some form of cold fusion you would like us to know about...
totally cool man I say some far out shit a lot and have to provide a lot of evidence when i talk with my family so i understand.Crabid said:LOL - I stand corrected, that is very cool...Vriggchan said:explaination for nuclear rockets [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_thermal_rocket]
Propulsion, when I was thinking general power, sorry for being a dick. I just happen to have had the discussion of nuclear power on spaceships/stations before and wrongly assumed that was what you were talking about.
