You're not being very clever when you make the thundercats joke anymore, its old and wasn't very funny to begin with.
I thought it was a pretty decent movie, not the best thing I've ever seen, (sorry The Dark Knight still holds that title in my book) but your first point where you wonder about why the movie is called Avatar is in reference to the cloned Na'vi bodies they use to interact with the locals...that's about where the title's relevance to the movie ends.
In all seriousness though the moratorium on spoilers for this movie isn't up for another *crunches numbers* two months by my reckoning. So please put a spoiler warning at the beginning of your post. Be considerate some people get very angry when you give stuff about movies away. (I'm one of them but I already saw the movie) You may think your being cute by doing it at the end and saying they don't have to see the movie anymore, but it just makes you look like a douche-bag more than anything.
