Quest 64. What a waste that was.
I have to say, I played this when I was younger and actually enjoyed it. Played it recently and was appauled. Verdict? CHILDREN ARE STUPID

ahem

Dumbest game I've ever played would probably have to be Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. The biggest waste of money in the history of mankind

shooters.. like Ikaruga or Raiden

but it's not dumb in the sense that i hate the game... i actually love shooters. but you don't do much thinking when you play them.. you just simply zone out into a trance like state and react.

For dumb bad, I'll go with Milon's Secret Castle. What a ridiculous waste of time wasting that piece of trash was. Made no sense, and it was a chore to play.

For dumb good, it's gotta be Katamari Damacy. Pitifully simple concept, outlandish sense of style that could only come from Asia or some really good illicit supply, and the most eclectic soundtrack I've ever heard. Pure win.

For dumb simplicity in basic entertainment, it's gotta be Porrasturvat. I'll consider it a game, since you could score more points for shoving the ragdoll down stairs in the most brutal manner possible. One simple activity, hours of random entertainment.

well, I honestly didn't think that so many people would reply to the thread. Thanks for participating and letting out all of the frustration from the world's most retarded games out with me. I often find myself laughing because I completely agree with you.

P.S. To all those who played Cooking Mama Cook Off, I'm sorry for your loss...

I am going to set my standard at games released in the last 6 months, since there is an almost unlimited amount of dumb games that have been released in the past 15 years. I know I am going to catch crap for this, but I really could care less.

MGS4

The cut-scene to game-play ratio is absolutely ridiculous. The redundancy of the dialogue is unsurpassed. I have beaten every single other game in the series, and to be forced to sit through refresher lectures is unforgivable. What really sucked is how well the game manages to make you feel like you are going to miss something huge if you skip the tedious cinematics. If Konami was smart they would have made an information library of some sort where you could read through information from previous games only if you felt it was necessary. Instead I felt like I was stuck going through a museum on a class trip, where my overbearing teacher, and tour guide were forcing me to hold their hands.

I have to say that the dumbest game ever was the arcade game "Growl".

It was a brawler in which you played an elite group of rangers charged with stopping poachers. The dialogue and voice acting was in hilariously cheesy engrish. Aside from that the very premise was ridiculous. Especially when you save animals that come to your aid during the stages. Best one was the elephant that destroys an enemy tank (yes, poachers have tanks)and then follows you throughout the stage to trample enemies into a bloody pulp.

The final boss is an evil clown who then turns out to be a giant worm in a human skin. All in all it's the most absurd game in existence. Fun to play through once, but only on emulator as the original arcade version is not worth the money.
