Men of War: Assault Squad

I'd definitely recommend it, but at 35$ you'd have to be a pretty hardcore RTS fan to like it. I mean, it's the best RTS I've played, but you do have to watch your unit inventories. A lot.

AND HOLY GODDAMN YES I RECCOMEND IT.

It's like they actually made a real game.
I'm so close to deciding to buy it. Please, I must be convinced that it's worth it.

Last Portable: Super Street Fighter IV 3D edition
If you have a 3DS and you don't have this game, you're doing it wrong.

Last Console: Dragon Age II
Let's not go there, please?

Rome: Total War

I tend to spend 3-4 hours waging wars in the campaign map every now an again. It's a decent game and there are quite alot of mods available, I personally used to play the 'Ran No Jidai' mod which was basically a Shogun: Total War conversion mod that is in dev. The gameplay isn't all that tough and it comes down to who has the better units/upgrades vs tactics, but it never gets old to watch several hundred Barbarians ambush a Roman cohort from behind as they attempt to assault your 'lesser' forces.

Overall it's a neat experience and has good replay value if you are using a somewhat older PC or Laptop like myself, but for those with newer graphics cards and processors I'd suggest Shogun 2: Total War.

Marvel vs Capcom 3. It is, without question, the best console game of the year so far. So yeah, I'd recommend it.

Dragon Age Origins.

Pretty solid, but the combat is really rough for me, but I'm too embarrassed to turn down the difficulty.
If you want to carry through with that you'd best keep a rogue in your party towards the end.
I'm keeping Leliana and Morrigan in the party as must-haves, and Alistair is being used as a tank until I can get a better one.

My character is kinda worthless, for some reason. He's usually the first one in the party to die.

Any tips about that?

I know I shouldn't just charge in, but years of other RPGs have taught me to behave like that.
The tip would depend on what kind of character you're playing. I would highly recommend either bringing Wynne or teaching Morrigan some healing if people are getting killed a lot. There's also no shame in bringing along a ton of poultices. They have a really short cooldown, and the cooldowns are individual to each rank (lesser, greater, etc), so you can heal up very effectively with those alone. That will end up costing a lot of money, however.

Also: Aggro management, crowd control and area of effect spells.

Make sure Alistair taunts and is set to "threaten" in combat. This should keep the enemies off your character.

Mass paralysis, sleep, waking nightmare, cone of cold, etc are extremely useful, and even if you have friendly fire set to 'on' the larger AoE spells can be pretty helpful in thinning out larger groups of enemies. You can pause the game and carefully aim the AoEs to not hit any party members, and I'd recommend you utilize this ability.

Magicka..I think...
And I would reccomend it if you've got 2 other friends to play it with. Otherwise it gets a bit boring.

New Vegas, 'cause my friend told me GameStop was selling it for new for $20. So I was like "Lolnoway", went and checked it out, and yeah. It really WAS $20.

I'm enjoying it, it feels so much more like Fallout 2 than 3 did, and really just feels more like Fallout in general. Add to that the tweaked graphics (it really does look nicer), greatly improved AIs and animal behaviors...

Yeah. I recommend it. It's amusing me.

Last game I bought was Monday Night Combat and honestly its fun, but only if you like DotA style games. Other people might find it awkward at times because the tutorial is rather weak for people new to this style of play and they dont really go in depth with strategy. Besides this I would recommend it.

As far as a non indie game it would be Medival/Rome: Total War, but I havent played either yet.

The biggest improvement is the narrative. It's on par with any other game this generation. Death scenes and dramatic moments are done superbly with spot-on animation and even good voice acting.

Battle system is back to how it was before DW6, thank god.

And in case you hadn't heard, nearly every character from every DW game is back, plus about 20 more.

There is nothing to not love about this game if you enjoyed the previous games at all. It's a 100% must buy if that is the case.

Dragon Age 2 ... Horrible game if you enjoyed everything about DA:O from the combat to the characters. But if you are a BioWare fanboy/girl, then what the heck are you waiting for, get it for ME 2 at least ;P

Also, I want Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 > . >
