Nier. And despite what Highfalutin Critics like to say, it's an amazing game with a stunning plot that hits you hardest after you're done. You look back and go "HOLY CRAP." And I can't elaborate any more or I'll ruin it.

Play it play it play it play it.

The last game I bought was Killzone 3 and had fun. I would recommend it if you like shooters and don't follow the hype. Story isn't stellar and it isn't long enough, but I've played games with worse stories, shorter campaigns, and lower overall quality.

I don't really play any game online except Demons Souls, so if you are like me and don't play online I'd say pick it up used in a few more weeks when the price drops more(or rent).

Dragon Age II.

Well, I'm certainly enjoying it because its like a medieval Mass Effect, only I get a snark response in addition to Paragon/Renegade.

Also, Varric is one awesome mother fucker, seriously, I wanna drink beers and shoot bandits with this guy. And Merrill, oh my god I love her: she's soo........adorable. Just this quite, shy young elf woman who paradoxically practices blood magic.

Varric and Merrill are perma party members. Merrill is the love interest and therefore stays within arms length (a justifiable action given the setting) so I can smite all who get too close. Varric is however my blood brother: a drinking buddy, solid teammate and he delivers it all with a smirk and a quick wit.

Recommended if you like your more streamlined RPGs with an emphasis on action. Those looking for a deeper role playing and talent system, should look elsewhere.

I got Civ4 back in January or something. Steam sale for $13, came will all the expansions, even!
I definitely recommend it to anyone who has an interest in turn-based-strategy.

I watched my brother play it and I have to agree with everything you said. It's pretty damn cool.

Dragon Age II - Good game. Not as good as Origins, and if you play it with the mindset that it will be better than origins, you'll be disappointed. But if you kill your expectations, you'll find that the game is good. Not great, like Origins was, but good nonetheless. So I would recommend it, just so long as you chuck out all your expectations beforehand.

Last game I bought? Well I suppose that would be Angry Birds for my PS3 and PSP. Addicting as hell. Definitely recommend it.

Last major purchase game I bought was WWE All-Stars. It's a fun beat-em-up that I would recommend but anyone looking for real wrestling needs to stick to Smackdown Vs Raw.

Rome: Total War

I tend to spend 3-4 hours waging wars in the campaign map every now an again. It's a decent game and there are quite alot of mods available, I personally used to play the 'Ran No Jidai' mod which was basically a Shogun: Total War conversion mod that is in dev. The gameplay isn't all that tough and it comes down to who has the better units/upgrades vs tactics, but it never gets old to watch several hundred Barbarians ambush a Roman cohort from behind as they attempt to assault your 'lesser' forces.

Overall it's a neat experience and has good replay value if you are using a somewhat older PC or Laptop like myself, but for those with newer graphics cards and processors I'd suggest Shogun 2: Total War.
Homefront, bought used for about 45 bucks at gamestop used. my god if your going to get it the campaigne is DECENT at best but the MP is much better but if you dont buy new you have to pay 800 points to get past 5th levelup. would i recomedned? hell no if you only play SP but MP maybe IF you want to pay full or a extra 10 bucks.

Also Rome hell yea one of my favorite PC games

Metal Gear Solid.

It's very good. If you like stealth and games that are heavily story driven, definitely give it a try.

Rome:Total War is basically the game that got me interested in the Total War series. It's because of that game that when I can afford a new Laptop or PC I'll be getting Shogun 2. Also I think it's been a big factor into my love for RTS games...except Starcraft since it really did come down to spamming units and building more resource collectors. Though Rome:Total War suffered a little bit from that same problem in terms of who has more guys and who is stronger, but it does actually require a reasonable amount of strategy so that things like Morale and Exhaustion are kept balanced.

Magicka, for $10 on Steam, and YES! I recommend it! It really is like learning to use magic. You start out conjuring simple spells but by the end of the game you find yourself casting magicks as if it were a second language.

I just bought a bunch of games cheap off of amazon (Disgaea 3, Mafia II, God of War 3, and Valkyria Chronicles) but haven't played any yet. My most recent purchase that I've played is Bayonetta. I would definitely recommend it. The demo gave me a bad impression last year so I stayed away, but finally gave it a chance and it was very fun. It can be pretty challenging as well. People really blow the whole sex appeal thing out of proportion. It's so over the top that it's funny.

Dynasty Warriors 7.

AND HOLY GODDAMN YES I RECCOMEND IT.

It's like they actually made a real game.
I'm so close to deciding to buy it. Please, I must be convinced that it's worth it.
The biggest improvement is the narrative. It's on par with any other game this generation. Death scenes and dramatic moments are done superbly with spot-on animation and even good voice acting.

Battle system is back to how it was before DW6, thank god.

And in case you hadn't heard, nearly every character from every DW game is back, plus about 20 more.

There is nothing to not love about this game if you enjoyed the previous games at all. It's a 100% must buy if that is the case.
Does Lu Bu have his DW4 weapon back? Please tell me he does.
Character's don't get unique weapons in this game - they can choose from almost any that you have unlocked. However, each officer has different skill levels for each weapon, and one weapon that they have an extra, powerful attack or ability with. I'm pretty sure Lu Bu's is the halberd like in DW4, but I haven't unlocked him yet so I don't know for sure.

Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy for the PSP.

It tweaked and fixed everything that didn't work with the first game, added lots of new features and mechanics that added a lot of depth to combat, and the new characters are a blast to play as and every one of them brings something new to the table.

Definately worth the $30 price tag, even if you already played the original.

*Drop in excitement* Officers don't have their own specific weapons? That's kind of...odd.
