What's the last game you bought, and would you recommend it?

Crysis 2: Yes, although I think you'll be less inclined to like it if you've played the first (the suit has essentially had its balls cut off).

Dragon Age 2: Yes, but its a bit disappointing when you realise quite how little your choices matter, and the retcons with the imported saves range from irritating to infuriating, depending on what you did in Origins.

The last game I bought was Back to the Future the game Episode 2. Episode 1 was actually pretty fun and episode 2 is even better. Though a lot of people don't like the game because it requires you to do this stupid thing called THINKING!

All I've heard is that the puzzles are a bit stupid (as in simple, not silly), and its kind of boring.

The last game I got was Siren Blood Curse for the Ps3 and i really like it, its really scary and quite different from most survival horrors like Resident evil 5 and Silent Hill Homecoming. Its very good and i would recommend to anyone who loves a good scare!

This'll probably read like a review...

I'm a historian and an area of personal interest is man made disasters. For a few years I've studied and researched the before, during and after effects of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. When I heard of STALKER: Call of Pripyat(Shadow of Chernobyl) and the lengths the developers went through to not only recreate the ghost town itself, but the surrounds of the exclusion zone, I had to give it a try.

Ghosts and mutant creatures aside, it isn't the beasts that drew me into the game, or the mission, it was the history. The buzzing geiger counter scares me far more than the enemy - because I know all too well what it meant in the past, and what it'll mean for the next few thousand years.

I bought the game because it is a cheaper (and safer) way to tour Chernobyl beyond photographs. More than once I put off an objective to examine areas until the geiger counter buzzed, and the game didn't punish me for it (until some poltergeists attacked me). It's the first FPS to encourage me to explore moreso than run straight from Objective A to Objective B and get out ASAP. I applaud the game for that.

Okay, that's not really why most people buy games, but I'd certainly reccomend the game to FPS fans, historians and people who want a break from the normal quick-paced/chest-high-wall/war scene of today's modern games.

The Sims Medieval - Big Let Down. They definitely snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with THAT game, despite ENN classifying it as "crack cut with meth."

It's not just "different" from the Sims 3, it is poorly designed in it's own right, and only playable if you stubbornly overlook those flaws.

In other words, you will only enjoy the game if you already WANT to enjoy the game - in which case, you could probably have as much fun with a pile of monkey turd, and my recommendation doesn't mean squat. Everybody else - buy it at your own risk!

Last game I got was Marvel Vs Capcom 3 for the PS3. I would absolutely recommend this title, as gameplay-wise I think its the best fighting game ever released. It lacks a lot of the features that other new fighters have (aka Super Street Fighter IV and Mortal Kombat), but the core mechanics are amazing, everytime I play I learn new tricks to with different characters.

Contra 4. Would I recommend it? Hell yes. The game gives you weapons that are overpowered as all hell and it STILL kicks your ass. Plenty of variety as far as level design goes. Climbing a giant rocket by jumping from handlebar to handlebar while dodging salvos of small missiles being shot at you, riding a jetski while blowing up alien fish and flying robots, platform jumping and climbing to get to the top of a cliff while dodging falling boulders and blowing up aliens? Did I mention blowing up aliens?

Bottom line is, if you want the epitome of blowing up aliens and being a total badass, There's no better way to get your fix than with Contra 4.

I finally jumped on the Assassin's Creed trolley.. (I know.. about bloody time right?)
I generally don't enjoy this style of game and I was shocked how much fun I found it.
I got the first two and loved every single minute. I'll be getting Brotherhood this week..
They had a few issues that made me want to pull my hair out, but all games do
highly highly recommended.

(*sidenote* if you try the first one and dislike it, I recommend giving the second one a chance.. the controls are so much more accurate and there is so much more to do in the game)

Brotherhood is a neat game. Only got it a few weeks ago and have only completed a third of the singleplayer but damn if Ubisoft hasn't put a lot of work into the game. Two of my assassins died today. I am currently mourning their deaths. Anyway, AC:B is my second latest purchase. My very latest is Starcraft 2 and HOLY SHIT, It's awesome. The difficulty ramp (?) is steep and the culture is very...unique but if you get immersed into the game and try to ignore the Korean pros than you'll be in for a hell of a ride.

Bought it for £20 (about $30) off Amazon. Not a great game, and I'd only recommend it if you KNOW you've got friends that would play it with you online. Because that's really the only time the fun kicks in. Otherwise it gets real old, real fast.

DC Universe Online.

No, I do not recommend this. Even though I love DC comics, and have played City of Heroes to the point of burnout, this game is just criminally short. The stories are rarely interesting, the level cap is 30, and unless you play a fire tank, you can expect to need a team to even go to the bathroom once you get over level ten.

City of Heroes is still the better super-hero MMO, even though I haven't been back in nearly a year.

Better that than a whole bunch of perfect clones like in DW6. This also allowed them to let each character carry 2 weapons at once, which they can switch any time, even mid-combo - and switching weapons sometimes grants a bonus power depending on which weapons are being switched. You're basically going to want to use their main weapon as their first weapon no matter what, but there's actually a lot of thought you have to put into the second weapon.

Trust me, it works.
