I flip flop damn near daily between loving and hate Mass Effect. Today, after all this time, I've decided I don't like it. I'm sure I'll change my mind tomorrow though.
If I actually wanted to put in the time to play it through, I would probably end up adding it to the Darth Wiki.irefusetoincludenumbersinthisname said:Ouch. Please accept my condolences, fellow troper.
Agreed except it took me about 50+ hours and a lot of mods before realising how rubbish it was.WestMountain said:Oblivion, it took me 25 hours to realizethat the enemies and the loot level up with you so theres no reason to explore the world really
Gonna have to agree with Oblivion on this one, although my opinion of it isn't so terrible. It's just...I tried to like it, I really did. But, as one other poster pointed out, realizing that nothing was really dangerous because it all leveled with you just kind of killed the fun for me.Omikron009 said:Oblivion. I actually played that piece of garbage for about 10 hours before I realized that it was just terrible.
Wild Arms 3 is an RPG that lets you control a sand tank or a flying machine, if you're interested.irefusetoincludenumbersinthisname said:Topic inspired by this topic, and specifically a little rant I had, reposted here. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.160375#4058290
We've all had game we assured ourselves would get better... eventually. What was the longest it took you to realize that, indeed, the shit will stay shit, and nothing will improve? Games that you finished don't count; I'm curious about those abandoned midstream.
For me, I'd say Metal Saga. If you haven't heard of it, it was a PS2 RPG that billed itself as a post-apoclyptic JRPG... WITH TANKS! Unfortunately, it sucked. I kept telling myself, "THIS GAME HAS TANKS IN AN RPG. Surely it will stop being bad at some point." It didn't, but I pressed on, gritting my teeth and emulating Yahtzee's complaint style as I went along. Finally, 17 hours in, I couldn't take any more and tossed it aside. It still sits on my shelf, taunting me... "I'm a nonlinear RPG with tank combat. How can I possibly be bad? PLAY ME." NEVER AGAIN.
EDIT: This topic is search bar approved.

Wow... That's a shame, the previous games were just awesome (I remember playing x6 like 4 times in a row). I've been trying to get hold of X7 for a while... maybe I should just let it go, yeah?dudeman0001 said:Megaman X7, I didn't actually want this game, I got it for christmas 2 years ago because my mom couldn't find Okami.
Anyways, I kept trying to convince myself that it was good but really the targetting, and controls were bad in the 2d sections and almost unbearable in the 3d sections, Also the acting is atrocious, the story is really lame and doesn't really go anywhere. and all the bosses take WAAY too much damage. The end boss is particularly guilty of this, He literally takes over an hour to beat! and thats if you can get to him! The final stage is like 4 hours long, hellishly hard, they make you fight all the previous bosses, you cant save in between, only die and respawn at the nearest checkpoint! I literally had to leave my playstation on all day to beat the shitty game!
and when I finally beat Sigma, all I got was some shitty ending that I can't even remember and I'm just sitting here like;
"well, that sucked."
One or 2? because I prefer one hands down.ToxinArrow said:Modern Warfare. 6 months.
