I would have to say about a day and a half... Not that brag about, but nothing to frown at.

Let's see. I've done 40 hours more than once. Not good.

Longest? probably about 56 hours. - it was fine for the most part, but right towards the end it was an effort to keep my eyes open regardless of what I was doing.

No hallucinations or anything weird though; But it's not pleasant, because I start to feel really worn out even before I get to the point where I can't keep my eyes open anymore.
true that, i dont go to bed for 24-40 hours too many times. My longest is around 60 hours, it was after me and my mates decided to go on for a full weekend starting on a early friday night and going as long as possible. 6 Guys, 6 cases of Bawls. We only drank about 3 cases, and of course we didnt drink alcohol, since that doesnt help at all.( atleast for me, after my 10th irish carbomb at 4 am i just want to crash on my bed). This was as a last celebration, before we all split up and went our own ways, some to the military, some to school. By sunday morning, while playing supersmash brothers, all i saw on the screen was flies and other hallucinations. Then all went black and i was gone for 12 hours. I was the 3rd to bed, #1 was my asian friend, stayed up till 5 pm, eating the last bits of pizza....damn them and their hyper-metabolism!

Recently: 23 hours straight.
I think my record though was like a couple of days a few years back.

Hm. I'd have to say about two days.
Nothing extraordinary, but good enough.

And no one will take me up on a "I bet I can stay up longer than you" bet. So for now, it's going to stay at about 48 hours.

Only like 34 hours, though the way you feel then, that kind of clammy feeling not sure I'd want to stay up much longer than that (unless it was for a bet). The hallucinating sounds pretty cool though, but freaky.

Around 36 hours ish I think. The journey from the UK to Kenya, including getting to the place where we were staying etc.

When i was young and awesome, hm... about two days; LAN-party. I can tell you: playing Age of Empire, or Starcraft when nearly crashing is trippy as hell.

Now that i am only awesome, not young anymore... maybe 20 hours or so? I am an old tired man *g*

I go three days at a time on a regular basis. No special reason, I just don't need that much sleep. Also, I drink a LOT of diet mountain dew, being diabetic. That stuff is just short of ritalin for keeping you alert.

I can't function too well without sleep. Hell, I can barely function with it. My record is somewhere around the 40 hour mark. And that was just an unpleasant experience. Going without sleep is not something I would choose to do for fun.

Also, no matter what I was doing, if I had an assignment due or some sort of project happening in my job (not that I have one), I can't imagine that pulling consecutive all-nighters would actually enhance my productivity. After a day and a half without sleep I'd just end up totally useless.

Probably 2-3 days at a LAN, my housemate would have a way more hardcore answer, he went a week without sleep during his infantry training.
