About 40 hours at a stretch. I was only sleeping about 4 hours (intermittently interrupted) a night for about 8 weeks, followed by which I was getting about 5 hours (again interrupted) for about 10 weeks. I think it had a permanent effect on my sleeping patterns.

I did 36 hours straight in combat ops in Iraq, two summer days in August 100F+ heat with no sleep, and we ran out of water on day two, stuck holding a building, exhausted no relief or support, intermittent gunfire all night long. I was putting instant coffee powder from an MRE under my tongue to stay sharp at 0400ish to keep from nodding off from adrenaline wearing off. Thats the single worst no sleep experience. Other people had it way worse, but I can tell you that SUCKED. Stay in school, don't join the Army kids.

Now I'm a big old pansy and wilt if I don't get my 8. Speaking of which...

Some of yous are hardcore. I only went 58 hours with a shitload of red bull bout a year ago. Hell of a night, day, then night again. wasn't tired until the 57th hour. Then nearly fell asleep on the bus home.

My personal longest? I woke up one morning at around 6 AM getting ready for college and finally conked out nine days later at around 5 PM.

If you were to count that in hours... that's about 227 hours right there, give or take about a half-hour. It was all in preparation for a 24-hour gaming tournament... but after the third day of perpetual practice and intentionally-induced insomnia, I couldn't bring myself to fall asleep. I tried sleeping pills, NyQuil, blunt trauma force to the head, but nothing worked. Finally, as soon as I got home on that last day, I collapsed onto the couch in my basement and slept for what was apparently two-and-a-half days.

And if you're wondering, I did win the tournament. I still wonder if it was worth it, though...

I think my record's about 2 days straight. I started seeing weird stuff... it wasn't pleasant. I never want to try anything like that again.

Just last week I went 37 hours. Thinking of trying for 50 soon, then working from there.

Not very long at all, maybe 14 hours... I love sleep, it's brilliant it gives your body and brain time to sort stuff out and carry out maintenance and then you wake up all refreshed, I don't understand why people would want to neglect it.

In fact I slept for around 24 hours once, I got up to pee and get a drink etc but then went straight back to bed.

Roughly 4 days, then a couple of hours sleep and another 24 hours.
Was doing just about anything I could to distract myself, after a particularly bad breakup, was a mess.
Slept for I don't know how long after it, was a very long time, I just lost complete scene of time. Would not recommend it, sleep is good.

52 hours. Started by drinking just stayed up while I played gears online, before I knew it, it was 10am everyone was awake and there was no time to sleep. I kept myself up for the next day with the aid of Milo and Ice Coffee, then that night I had a thing planned with my mate to finish the entire gears 2 campaign on insane (Yes it's sad and nerdy I know haha), needless to say we started at about 11 and finished the next morning. In the end I just never bothered to sleep, I figured out that it had been roughly 52 hours by the time i eventually laid down in a bed again and slept.
