I did a 40 hour marathon when WoW: Wrath of the Lich King released. Got to level 78 I believe before finally crashing for a few hours. I missed server first level 80 by about 20 minutes too.

I did something similar with Burning Crusade, and I'll probably do the same when Cataclysm rolls around. I enjoy being "first" at everything, I guess I'm a competitor at heart.

Two times come to mind.

My girlfriend was grounded recently, so for the weekend it lasted I pulled out my dusty PSP and had a good hard run on Monster Hunter Freedom 2 starting Friday. I played until 3:25 AM Monday morning.
Yes, well beyond 24 hours and yes, I didn't play very well near the end. That's why I quit. Needless to say, I didn't get to enjoy her company at school the next day. Kind of pointless actually.

The next isn't me, but it just has to told and gawked upon.
A buddy of mine came across his dad's old DnD set, and decided to give it a go.
He called me and several others to his house for a campaign. I left several hours later for dinner and sleep.
They continued to play and dwindle in ranks over the course of two weeks, taking breaks to sleep at his house. They often said their characters needed to relax and have a small vacation or maybe needed some time to calm down after an adventure, thus filling in their absence for bodily needs.
Pure insanity.
...
But I'd do it if the re-invited me.

A close call between Puzzle Quest and Pokemon SoulSilver. I played Puzzle Quest for about 9 hours straight and Pokemon I played for about 12 hours straight, I got to the 7th gym with three Pokemon which took a lot of level grinding but ultimately worth it

Oy...hmm, let's see. KOTOR II. My parents were gone for the week, so when they left at 7pm on a friday, I started playing KOTOR II. When I finally went to bed at 5pm Saturday, I had beaten the game.

*edit: I didn't beat the whole game in that one playthrough, I was halfway done when I started.

20-hour Starcraft run. I played as much of the campaign as I could until I fell asleep on my keyboard.

Eight hours, I thought that was pretty long but now I feel like the kid in the gym showers with the shortest penis.

I played Lineage 2 for 2 days straight over the school holidays about 3 years ago. Had a couple large bottles of coke by my side and a few packets of Kettles chips to last me through a large clan battle.

About 18 hours. X-Com, about the third time I played it, I started playing at noon and stopped playing when the sun came up. I didn't realise how long I'd been playing until I heard the morningbirds warbling.

Played Final Fantasy 7 from start to finish in one session. 24 hours out of a day, then another 9 out of the next one. 33 hours, proving a point to a friend (just what my point was, other than "I can go amazing amounts of time without sleep while playing a mind-numbingly dull JRPG", I've no clue.)

That was in 1998, though. I ain't a kid anymore...most time I've dumped into a game in a single day recently was Fallout 3...easily 12-13 hours and one massive case of "forgot to eat" leading to a late-night Taco Bell run.

Ate half a kilo of chocolate in 20 minutes once to prove a point to a friend... ended in brown puke... The point was "I can eat chocolate alot".
