Oh so much this. It pretty much killed any hope I had of ever maxing stats when I sat down and estimated how many thousands of hours it would take of nonstop grinding. That's not including quests, minigames, and just dicking around. That being said, playing to max in an MMO is usually pretty unhealthy. In a numerical sense- about 400 collectively in MHFU. Disgaea 2 comes in second with about 200.
I know I have over 3000 hours in that game. It helps that, for at least one summer, I probably put nearly 8 hours a day into it (summer, so it didn't conflict with school). I haven't played in a while, but occasionally I go back to it.Mesca said:
Over 3500 hours into WoW (I figure) over my entire life in it. I've quit in the last two months because I've been working. And a new job I'm hoping to get has rotating shifts ever 2 weeks so I'll probably just never go back to it. For the better I guess.

I think the most time i have ever put into a game was World of Warcraft. I don't know exactly how many hours I played, and I hope I never find out. I used to play every 2 or 3 days, didn't really feel like playing everyday. The scary part is that I played it for like 4 years, and now I am done with the MMO Genre forever. Sure, I had fun, but I still consider it a mistake.
Halo 3, and oh your god was I obsessed with that game. I still remember the exact release date of it! (September 25) I logged over 6000 matchmaking games, with each game lasting about an average of 10 minutes. That brings the total time to about 1000 hours, give or take a few dozen hours.
I've finished Chrono Cross around a dozen times, and it clocks in at between 30-50 hours a playthrough. Lets say roughly 40-45 hours a go, it'd be close to 500 hours.
Onto a single game?. Hmmm... I dunno, my usal attention span for a game never exceeds the 50 hours mark, except if it's an RPG made by Bethesda or an MMO.
and I was to believe the my 100+ in Fallout 3 and 128 in Final Fantasy X was a lot but i got nothing on a lot of you time to get playing then.
Does Magic: The gathering count. If so, the the last 10 years of my life. If not, 250+ hours of my life were lost to Disgaea 2
