Soo, once upon a time, in the magical new years eve of 2006/7 my mom pulls out a game out of the cupboard... I was hyped, the game's name is Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, well I never heard of the game, but I seen the movie Van Helsing and read books about them, and I thought the characters and the canon was awesome, but, it turns out the game was piss and shit in a bag, and worse yet, it broke my bloody CD drive! What a *****!!!

Ever had any similar incidents? (cmon, dont be shy, this may be your chance, to relieve yourself of the guilt, by leaving it here...:D)
Also, I had a friend, who got a barbie game as a present, cuz his parents thought it would be funny, the worst part is, he didn't get anything else for his bday, so cruel...

I got some of those "Burger King" Xbox games a while back as a birthday present from my aunt. Thing is, I didn't own an Xbox back then.

I was once given a game known as bmxxx by my sister. Apparently she hadn't read the title carefully. I never got to play the game, but when i opened it everyone laughed except my sister. Okay so maybe it wasn't embarrassing for me, but i say it counts.

One of the Harry Potter games, can't remember which one.
HA! I loved those, at least I was making myself think that...
It wasn't necessarily bad it was just, nothing special. There was nothing about it I really liked, it was way too average. Oh well it was a good trade in.

WHAT is THAT!!??

EDIT - can't find that on the internet
The year was 1998, the SATs were still out of 1600, and I had to start cramming for mine thanks to peer pressure since my school was filled with 15 year old kids who score 1600s on their SATs. My graduating class alone produced 27 such individuals. By going to NYU Stern, I was considered an under achiever.

Anyway, my parents were wracking their brains in trying to figure out how to motivate me to study for the damn test. Personally, I hated it, but I knew it was a necessary evil. My parent's zany scheme to get me study? get me a game that TEACHES me SAT vocab. Unfortunately, being parents, they have no idea what I find entertaining, and they bought the game in question.

So what was it? Well, it was basically these flies that float in the air with words above their head. By clicking on them, you shoot a little bolt that kills them and captures the word. The graphics were drawn to look like Q-bert rejects and everything looks like it was nabbed right out of a microsoft word clip art. It was awesomely bad. I don't think the company that made the game even exists anymore. And no, I can't find it either.

Umm, read the title, lol ;)
Dude, that's seriously a game hahaha.

OT: I only got what I asked for, and I'm not that picky a person when it comes to games.
HAHAHA, 50 bucks on amazon, what a ripoff! TGBA, dude, I'm sorry for you, and the person responsible for such a gift... LOL

Despite the fact that I love that game: Final Fantasy X-2. It is the most embarrassing game to get as a young male simply for the box. It's a gift you silently hide behind your other gifts after thanking the person for it, then tearing into it once you're alone. Most underrated Final Fantasy in the entire series.

My sister bought me Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox 360 for my 17th birthday.

This from the girl who walks in every day and sees me playing some form of shooter. She said it was either going to be Sonic or Bionicle, but she didn't think I'd like Bionicle.

Somehow I can't bring myself to get rid of it, but I never played it.

Stewart Little for the game boy color. So random, not very fun, and I got stumped by the stupid racing level.

Since I didn't have enough money at the time to buy wii games, my uncle got me Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for christmas. I was a big fan of Dragonball Z... when I was 12, but now, not so much. Not even the games excite me since every game's story mode is scene-to-scene reenactments of the Saiyan to Buu saga, which is mind-dulling to listen to for the 100th time. It may not be what I was looking for, but at least it's still better than Sonic and The Secret Rings (which I bought with my own money btw).
