whats the most ignorant thing one of your teachers have said?

This happen a couple years back but every now and then my mind wonders back to it. My history teacher who happens to be a pretty cool guy said something incredible stupid my freshman year. He was talking about the cold war and the USSR and how Stalin had said that religion is the opiam of the masses and some how pulled this statment out of his ass "Well Stalin did those things because Athiest have no morals" I was to dumbfounded to come back with a snide remark at the time, I confornted him about and he apoligize but the comment still rings in my ear every time I hear about a religious groups mucking around in goverement affairs.

So before this gets out of hand I want to know what was one of the most ignorant things you've have heard form a former/current teachers my dear escapist?

My flatmates mother died when we were at school. He's not the brightest of the class, but he doesn't have any form of mental problems. After the funeral, we were dropped off (Well..not him, obviously) back at school, and headed to English.

Got sent to the principals office, but was totally worth seeing the ***** get fired over it when the entire class backed me up on what had happened.

As a Brit, in High School History, we study the history of Britain, but it annoys me when my teacher try and defend Britain for the countless amount of wrongdoings she's done, and pretend all of that stuff didn't happen.

I have to agree that JFK was a lousy president but not because he was killed, but because he really didn't do anything.

OT: I have a teacher tell me the civil war started over slavery, he also said the UN had never been in any wars as all and was nothing but pure win(not what he said but it's basically what he meant).

my fourth grade teacher was this old ass guy that should have been teaching elementray school students. i've forgotten what i did to earn it but he had this dictionary of english slangs that he kept with him. He pulled me aside and looked up the phrase "smart alec" went over the definition with me then went to the "see also" portion of the definition. He pointed to "Wise Ass" turned to me and said. "Thats you" and even as a kid i rember thinking :who the fuck says this to a kid?:

My Film Studies teacher said "what's the point in science, it's so useless, you pour one test tube into another and you get another colour, what's the point?" The class agreed with him as well, I don't do science, but I've never seen so many morons agree with an equally moronic statement.

When I was in year 4 at middle school (I was 8-ish) a friend of mine asked the replacement teacher we'd been given (grouchy old woman because our other teacher had left, so we had this one for about a month) why sheep had wool.
