Not entierly sure what my oldest game are... I have Metroid 2: Return of Samus, which is from 1991 (older than me), I doubt I have any older, I'll go check. I think my youngest is Portal 2. I have no idea which game in my collection I love the most :3

*goes to search for the hard-floppy disk games which my dad owned*

Edit: a quick search in the attic revealed nothing. My mom may have thrown them away. If I remember correctly, it were games like: Popeye's epic quest for doodads (obviously not that name), so I guess there not a too big loss :p

I have a few NES games, but I haven't a single idea where they might be anymore. The ones I remember from those games are Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, Zelda II and Centipede, or something similar to that.

The newest game I own is Catherine.

I think I prefer the latter.

Oldest: The Legand of Zelda
Newest: Portal 2

I prefer Portal 2 for the visuals, story, and the simple mechanics.

The oldest game in my collection would be The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (1998), and the newest one is Portal 2 (2011). I definitely prefer Link's Awakening, it's my number one favorite game of all time.

Oldest: Devil May Cry for the PS2

Newest: Fallout: New Vegas for the PS3

I'd rather play New Vegas because after I recently beat Dante's Inferno, I'm not really in the mood for a hack and slash game.

I dunno for sure, King's Quest maybe?

I think the last game I bought was Just Cause 2.

Um.. can't compare the two really

Edit: Oh shit I don't think that counts, I don't have my DOS gear in the shed any more, haven't for years.
Oldest in my possession would be perhaps Mortal Kombat

Super Mario Brothers / Duck Hunt pack in for NES. My newest game is LA Noire. Hmm. I probably prefer Mario, just because it doesn't get old and repetitive. I've never beat it, either. When you get tired of Mario, you can shoot ducks and plates in an really good arcade-like game. I wish they'd bring back light gun games, but get rid of the infrared cursor deal. Pixel perfect shooting all the way back then was pretty damn amazing. There was no awkward positioning, you just pointed the gun at the bird, lined up the sights, and you got it.

I've got some dice and a few decks of cards. Pretty sure I win.

As for the video-type... SMB/Duck-hunt combo.

Newest is probably Black Ops.

I have a lot of old atari 800 games around here, they're on floppy disks though not cartridges. I play PC almost exclusvely so, so I don't really have any console games. I used to, but I got rid of them to make room for new games.

QUAKE

Quake is not the "oldest" game I own, but it was the fist game I bought. Hell, it was the reason I bought a PC in the first place.

My newest game? I guess that is Deus Ex, that I pre-purchesed the other day.
As much as I love Quake, I think Deus Ex will be even more fun.

Oldest is on the Gameboy (Super Mario Bros- 1985) or the PS1 (Resident Evil- 1996).
Newest is Shadows of The Damned (2011).
