It seems in the north of England there is some kind of feud against guys with long hair. Walking in to town I inevitably get yelled at out of car windows for it and I get persued by chavs because of it. What's your thoughts? becasue I don't see anything wrong with it

They are chavs. They are stupid, so ignore them.
Up until the 1900's most men had long hair since the Romans. In the 60's-80's guys frequently had long hair, short hair is just "in fashion" right now.
I don't care personally, each to their own. It doesn't suit me however.

People give me crap for having long hair,but hey most of them are old balding men.It does not really bother me.
It's just the same douchebaggery of cultures who hate metal. Whether or not you like metal, they see you as part of that culture and for some reason have a problem with it.

But I too live in the northern regions of England and I too get made fun of because of my hair, it's down to my waist, that isn't the problem however because I'm female. It's kind of the colour, there's nothing wrong with being ginger, dammit!

The problem is there are a few who let everyone else down by having too long and too greasy hair, so it just looks a mess...

there isnt really a problem where i'm from. yeah theres chavs but theyll pick a fight over anything, before i properly grew my hair i got beaten on the street for glancing at some twat on his bike so it doesnt really make any difference as far as im concerned.

I used to have long hair and was heckled for it at school. Now my heir is short, I prefer it like this but I still like long hair and will probably have it again in the future. My new hair I think is awesome (it's back-combed) but I still get heckled as much as before. If people heckle you, they'll keep doing it no matter what you do. I've never really cared and those people who matter (friends) also think my hair is awesome. So STFU you chavs.

Where in the north do you live? I used get some serious abuse when I lived in Manchester, but in Sheffield, where I am now, nobody gives me any trouble.OmegaGamer said:
I think it comes downs to maintenance with it. Some guys grow their hair out but its a huge curly/wavy mess and looks awful. I just recently cut my shoulder length hair, (which i took care of and straightened, haha it was straight emo hair but girls liked it.) and after I cut it I looked older, cleaner and more masculine so I feel it was a good decision for me. But too each their own.
