Powerviolence... no really listen to it... then start the regret. Psytrance sounds weird but is actually pretty cool. Musique concrète if it is done really well is interesting but just sounds like a construction sight most of the time... for obvious reasons if you look up what it is. Dark Cabaret I have no idea but it has an interesting name.

Edit: I forgot Extratone... seriously it is just strange I don't get the point of it but whatever, no accounting for taste.

There's appearently a subgenre of Trance that are called Psychedelic Goacore. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Then i read about another electronic subgenre called Nu Style Gabber. Now i'm convinced that they just throw random words together.

Pyschobilly? It's totally awesome, and not really all that weird, but the name makes my laugh. Same thing with Ska-punk, which I call skunk.

I once heard of a genre labeled "Intelligent Dance Music". I have no idea what that sounds like, though.
Isn't that an oxymoron?

I guess Darkwave's kind of strange. I don't know much about musical genres, so that's the best I could so.

OT: Crunkcore. What.
I'm going to have to go with this. I mean, the other -core genres tend to follow a pattern. Hardcore is punk with metal influence, metalcore is metal with punk influence, deathcore is basically metalcore with some death metal. Crunkcore... well, first I need to figure out what crunk is and who came up with such an awful name. Also, it doesn't have a punk or metal influence really, just really obnoxious screaming, which is missing the point of metal in the first place.

Basically, name sounds stupid, and doesn't make sense for the music played behind it.

chiptune. basically making music with old game console noises. and it. is. AWESOME!
Damn it, ninja'd me. But yeah Crystal Castles' first album was pretty chiptune/circuit bending which is how I found out about the genre.

What kind of genre would you call Of Montreal? Because that shit is weird.

EDIT: Here's one, Nu-Rave stuff like the Klaxons and Hadouken and Shit Disco. It's more about glow sticks and neon paint than the actual music, it's not very good.

Also if you want something that could be considered intelligent dance music then you should really try Crystal Castles as it's full of pulsating beats and bass and 8-bit and synth noises, but it's also got a great vocalist Alice Glass who sets the whole band apart with her screaching lyrics that have no place in the genre. They're a band who hate dance music, but then make dance music.

Black Panther is a song about a mother drowning her new born children.

Other topics have included domestic abuse, religion and purposefully giving HIV to someone.
