Emile Autumn is apparently 'Avant-garde Victorian Rock' if Wikipedia has anything to say about it. Hang on I'll post a Youtube link...we'll work this out together! (slams fist on desk)

Pyschobilly? It's totally awesome, and not really all that weird, but the name makes my laugh. Same thing with Ska-punk, which I call skunk.

Pyschobilly:
Ska-Punk:
You made my day... so in return:

Awesome! But how did I make your day?

If it was because you like the music, then:

GIVE ME MORE! IT HUNGERS!

Sorry about kinda derailing the thread...

I once heard of a genre labeled "Intelligent Dance Music". I have no idea what that sounds like, though.
Isn't that an oxymoron?

I guess Darkwave's kind of strange. I don't know much about musical genres, so that's the best I could so.
It refers to music that takes a lot of influence from dance music, but is also musically interesting, so that you can listen to it at home and appreciate it like you would non-club music.

This is a good example...

Ok... my contribution is orchestral improvisation.

I think the funniest genre i listen to is grindcore/crustcore, especially Anal **** with their 40-30 second 'songs'. I remember my first tape of that band had about 70 songs on it.

Generally tho, the weirdest genres all those new, sub genres popping out left and right, adding seemingly random prefixes to already existing genres just to make them look different.

You know what's really strange? Rock music. I mean, who listens to that stuff.
Yeah, Pirate metal kinda scares me, as awesome as it is.
