So many, so many, but if I had to pick one, then Eragon is right freaking up there. The books are some of my absolute favorites, and knowing the reputation of movies made from books, I did not want to go ever. BUT I went against my better judgement and saw it anyway because one of my friends wanted to see it. To avoid a full on rant I'll just say that it felt like the entire goal of this films creators was to systematically destroy almost every imporant scene in the book.
When I saw that pile of shit, I was thrown out of the theatre for protesting it. What was Christopher Palini smoking when he signed that deal?
I probably would've just walked out about half way through if I hadn't been there with a friend who'd really wanted to see it and walking out on your friend is kind of a dick move.

For me it must be Troll 2 , but I kinda watched it because I heard it was so bad , so it doesn't count .

The one I can remember is Sucker Punch , I hated that movie , it made absolutely no sense to me.I like hard to get movies , but this didn't have a point . A bunch of adolescent girls with samurai swords and guns fighting bad guys , seriously?

troll 2?

that shit was awesome! (in that, it was so horrifically bad, to the point i couldn't stop laughing at all the flaws it had)

probably one of the worst movies (and series) i have watched lately are the "andy sidaris" collection, they are basically "james bond B movie meets softcore pg 13 porn"

it's fucking pathetically awful....some of it is so awful that it's good/hilarious, but most of it is just fucking awful

basically :45 to 1:25 is one of the few hilarious scenes
Oh my god, that was fucking hilarious. Thank you for that laugh :).

OT: Twilight was really really bad. The Notebook sucked ass too. Uhm...that's all I can think of right now.

The worst movie I've ever paid to see would probably be Eragon. It's bland, but *sarcasm mode activated* at least it doesn't rip off any other movies in the least. *sarcasm mode overloaded* The argument can be made that it's just following the "Hero of a Thousand Faces" formulae to a T. I make the argument that liking Eragon is understandable because I liked Star Wars when I was a kid, too.

Outside of the cinema, "After Last Season." I first became aware of this movie through the Spoony Experiment, found the movie and watched it with the Spoony One's rifftrax. It made the movie considerably less painful, but I could tell without the rifftrax, it would be the most agonizing movie-watching experience possible.

Transformers, there, I FREAKEN SAID IT.

Who gives a shit about special effects, this isnt how the transformers were meant to look. Megatrons and Starscreams voice, what the fuck, seriously.

And the plot? Don't even make me start.

With each sequal it became worse.

Deathstalker.

Its only saving grace is that MST3K did an episode featuring it. The film itself is dreadful, even by MST3K standards.

'A Serbian Film' (original title: Srpski film) A film so gruesome and horrible, the first film ever I could not watch. I guarantee there is no movie more disturbing than that one.
I have to agree. That is the only film where I felt the need to clean myself then sleep so I could forget.
Let's not talk about that anymore.

I'm probably going to get railed for saying this but the worst movie I have ever seen was American Pie. A friend brought it over when it first released on VHS and I got maybe 20 minutes into the movie before I told him to either take it out of the VCR or the whole VCR was going to end up in the pond behind my house. It was just so absolutely stupid.

Transmorphers was pretty horrible too. I went into it knowing it was going to be bad, but I was hoping there would be something campy or fun about it, but no... just no.

I really do love some low budget campy movies. I don't really consider them bad, just some good old thoughtless fun.

Edit: I would have said Twilight but when I took my younger sisters to go and see it I slept through most of the movie anyway.

I haven't actually seen the movie, but I'm planning to. Isn't there the possibility that it may have been a grindhouse thing or perhaps a layer of irony was used which you missed? Anyway, I hasn't looked so bad to be so far.
For me it has to be either Mission Impossible or Lions for Lambs, but since Lions for Lambs at least carries an actual message with it, Mission Impossible is what goes down the drain for me, its only positive contribution to cinematography being its goofy spy soundtrack.

Splice. i was hoping for a suspense film with a simaler caliber of horrer to Alien. but i got some dumb drama.
Yeah, but that just means it didn't live up to your expectations. That doesn't necessarily make it bad. Trust me, if that's the worst movie you've ever seen, you should count yourself lucky.

Well it's my opinion , so it's subjective. Different taste for different people , but I just couldn't stand it .

I liked the Eragon books but hated the movie with the flaming passion of a thousand suns.

The amount of good movies named in this thread really leaves me speechless... 2001: Space Odyssey? Really?
OT: Worst movie I have seen whole: The Room, I still maintain that it is the most horrible act of money-laundring ever.
Worst movie I walked out of: The Planet of the Apes Remake.
I think that guy was talking about the spoof of 2001 but yea, as bad as some of the movies mentioned, we should be happy that we missed the golden age of crappy films.
If you want an idea, watch MST3K and try to imagine watching it without the three comic relief guys. There's little anything from the past 20 years could do to touch them...except maybe The Doom Generation. Basically, people only went to these movies to have a private place to do some "necking."

As for "serious" films that were total crap, there's no shortage of them either. Metropolitan, Sex in the City 2, actually, most movies are crap.

I saw this movie called 9 about these sock puppets that are the last nine beings on the planet. The plot goes something like this:

"I'm alive!"

"you're alive! follow me!"
"We are the last living things on earth"

CUE EVIL KIDNAPPING ROBOT

"We should save him! I'm SUCH A BLAND CHARACTER"
"We're here to sa-WHAT THIS THING DO?"

CUE MAN THEY MEANT TO SAVE DYING BECAUSE MAIN CHARACTER IS A WORTHLESS FUCK UP

ONE ANTI-NUKE/ENVIRONMENT PSA MOVIE LATER

"We stopped the machine I powered up, a-doy, and only half of the world's sentient lifeforms are dead and of the four of us remaining two can't even speak."

THE END

the characters were so bland they might as well have been sacks with faces on them, OH WAIT
Made me laugh (your post, that is, not the movie, God no). I hated 9 as well. Welcome to the club, you will be receiveing your t-shirt in 2 to 3 weeks.

Obviously nobody has seen Bucky Larson: Born to Be A Star. It premiered at #15 in the box office.

The Machinest, with Christian Bale in it. It finished and I thought "WTF just happend? Iv wasted 2hrs of my life"

Also I hate Fight Club, seen it like 3 times, each time hoping to understand what the hell actually happens. It is THE most misleading film title in the world as well. Makes fuck all sense to me and I managed to understand Inception AND the Matrix films
