playing Total War: Empire. I was trying to solidify my Holdings in North America, but Goddammed Natives would just NOT shut up. very time I took a bit of their land, a bunch of Armies from neighboring provinces turned up to try and push me out. I consider myself a pretty liberal guy, so when the thought "Is there a smallpox infected blanket option?" popped into my head, I was really put off.

In Bioshock 2 there was this option of killing an old lady who had been trying to kill you, but all that was based on a misunderstanding. Just after I smacked her face in with a drill, I had the "What the hell is wrong with me" sensation.

I reloaded my previous save file so I could let her live.

The moment I realized that my primary motivation for getting 2 monitors was so I could watch Netflix while I played WOW so I wouldn't be bored WHILE I PLAYED A GAME. Maybe not exactly what the thread's supposed to be about, but it was a pretty big WTF moment for me. A week later I cancelled my WOW account and have been living happily ever after.

Hey, an admin! Never see you guys post in threads aside from the news ones. I feel like I should bow...

My "what the hell's wrong with me?" moment is probably in Red Dead Redemption. I would go to a ranch owned by a nice old couple outside Armadillo, shoot the husband, tie up the old woman, and shoot her for no reason whatsoever. Sometimes I would rob the poor gal before shooting her. I think it was for the ragdoll effects, but I dunno.

Fable 3 for me. Got married, had a kid, waited until the kid grew up to be old enough for me to drag him around by the hand. Grabbed him and took him to see his mom/the wife. Proceeded to take my big goddamn hammer and smash the wife's head in in front of him. Went to the orphanage, picked up my kid, and spent the next hour taunting him, yelling at him, and generally making him pee himself every time I came into view for the rest of his life. Then when he became an adult I smashed his head in too. And throughout the entire thing, I was giggling like a first grader on Halloween. Then I asked myself "what the hell is wrong with me?"

How is that even possible, The Darkness II isn't even out yet.

OT: I can't really say that I've ever had any of these moments. Except for that one time when I played Battle Raper 2, but that's something that I don't really want to explain to people.

In Red Dead Redemption, one of my favorite pass times is to sit atop cliffs overlooking long stretches of roads. I like to sit there at night, waiting for riders to pass by and pick them off with my sniper rifle.

On my first play through of Dragon Age, I stabbed the deserter in the army camp to get his key. Made me feel like shit afterwards so I went back and replayed it.
I was jawdropped when it let me do that.

same thing happens to me in Space Marine's single player, the beautiful, glorious blood shed, brings this most surreal sense of peace and calm, mixed heavily with near insane giggling, and an urge to continue that would make The Joker uneasy.

i wonder about that some times to >.> BUT, what ever is wrong with me is probably to costly to fix, and even harder to actually pronounce

After I got to the last part of the Fallout New Vegas main quest. You know the part at the dam. I saved the game and went back to all known cities and killed every single killable npc I could find.

Yes. Yes I did. Bahaha

Well, this one might be weird. Anyone who's familiar with The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion knows there are actually animals mulling about besides monsters. While traveled with my high level Nord, I spotted a buck and doe while traveling and thought "Hey, alchemy ingredients and loot!" I shot the buck, then gave chase eventually catching up with it. I hit it once, and it went down with a sound I cannot really describe. I yelp of pain and sadness I have yet to hear in nature or the web to this day. I felt guilty for killing this bit of data, I asked myself "What the hell is wrong with me". I can't bring myself to purposely do something like that again.
