I'm surprised nobody has yelled out "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" yet.

EDIT:... that was quick... it happened as I was writing... Guess I'm not so surprised afterall.

Zombie apocalypse. Sure, it'd be really bad for a while... but then after a few months or so, most of the zombies would have rotted away. The very few people who survived would be the fittest, smartest and most sensible people of the planet.
Or just fat assholes that can afford bomb-shelters

EDIT: And Bill Murray!
They'd starve.

I could not agree with you anymore with you on that.
It's a little depressing how the wanton slaughter of millions of people is a 'good' way to improve humanity.

You'd think we'd have learned our lessons.
that's just how it is unfortunately.

In my opinion, it's mostly politics. And not just Republican vs. Democrat or conservative vs. liberal and even just American politics. It's everyone's skewed ideas in a jumbled up mess we call government.

On the topic of American politics though, I have to agree with a further above poster that it would be nice if we didn't have a bunch of self - serving dipshits in the government. Seriously, how many more times do these people need to vote on something as stupid as a raise in their salaries?

I think most of the world's governments need to be destroyed and replaced with unpaid volunteers (the only pay they recieve being cost of living and a bit more for luxuries). That way, they can't vote for more cash and they can spend it on things to improve the country that voted them into power.

There are a lot more things (bad parenting etc.) but you asked for one and this one is my current gripe.
They brought in pay for politicans for a reason, so people who weren't wealthy could have a place in office.
... that doesn't make sense. I'm talking about politicians NOT being paid full stop except for what they need to live. That way, only people who were truly dedicated to doing what is needed for the country would even consider being a politician. I know I'd consider it, but not with the pay as it is because it's disgusting how much they get paid for doing the exact opposite of what the public wants.

I'm actually English, but same thing really with the only difference being that, from what my Yankee friends have told me, the Brits have worse politicians (and with Gordon Brown at the head, that doesn't surprise me).

What's wrong with world? Humans. Simple answer.
Obvious, much? We're here and most of the world won't agree to a mass suicide, so the solution is simply limiting the amount of damage our species causes.

Honestly? If people would stop griping about "how much the world has changed" or "how bad the world is" and actually did something.

We live in the 21st century. Most of us can expect to live to at least 60, and in great comfort. Things weren't "better" 50 years ago, or 60 or however many years ago various old people will tell us. Things are awesome NOW.
But isn't identifying the problem part of solving it?

Saying that we should be happy with things now because they are more awsome than yesterday isn't that like if I'm homeless and find a bigger box to live in I should be content with that since the new one is awsome in comparison?

EDIT* (I'll just put it here instead of a new post)

Until we reproduce back to our current population and the same circus starts all over again.

You want to change people, not the world.

And who the f*ck wants to change people? If we all licked arse and took responsibility for everything, where would the fun be?

BORING.

My all time biggest complaint is similar to the one I had posted originally. I'm not sure how it's done over where you're at but here, it's gotten to the point where it's no longer about serving the population and it's more about either filling your pockets or obtainig incentives towards yourself and your party. And it penetrates all major parties.

this is kind of old news but the meat of it pretty much sums it up: http://theslackerz.com/index.php?nav=Comic&Page=98

If we haven't learned our lesson after 2 of 'em, I don't think we're ever going to.

It has always been this way.

I think. (Even though there does seem to be a trend of complete lack of honour, simply a desire to save one's own ass, not one's honour or country or friends. Simply yourself. Mindless egoism. A bit more altruism would be appreciated. Not too much, obviously.)

I for one would trust a guy (in power) more if he said: "I fucked up, I'm sorry I'll do my best to do better!" rather than the ones just playing the blame game.

And I'm not saying I don't think you can play pranks and such, but I think you kind of got that already.

As far as I can tell, that's pretty much the English government (run by Scotsmen) right there.

And yet the reaction from most of the public to that would be to go ape shit at them and get them out of power as soon as possible, only to be replaced by someone who's pretty much the same.

I blame all the generation X'ers who sit around moaning and complaining about "losing faith in humanity", get off your asses and change the world dammit instead of being a resigned pessimist.
