We could sure use a doomsday scenario to wipe out all life on this planet. That's what we could really use. That or a huge alien invasion, where I get to die defending the last vestige of humanity left. Either of those scenarios would work.

We seriously need to get rid of child soldiering. Getting rid of war entirely would be best, of course. And eliminating violence altogether would top it off. However, I'd settle for the end of child soldiering. The situation in Northern Uganda due to Joseph Kony (A bastard-coated bastard with bastard filling.) is horrific. Basically his LRA, the "Lords Resistance Army" kidnaps kids and brutalises them into fighting his enemies for their leaders twisted egotism. The guy is basically a crackpot who kidnaps children and brainwashes them (or just plain scares them) into fighting the people who were previously their countrymen or even family. I've heard stories of children being forced to shoot defenceless younger children (a child soldier was apparently forced to kill a seven year old girl. And from what I heard, this wasn't an uncommon occurance.)

For some reason we have taught ourselves to look for differences in each other and have altered our perception to see hate and negativity where there is naught.

I for one would trust a guy (in power) more if he said: "I fucked up, I'm sorry I'll do my best to do better!" rather than the ones just playing the blame game.

And I'm not saying I don't think you can play pranks and such, but I think you kind of got that already.

And yet the reaction from most of the public to that would be to go ape shit at them and get them out of power as soon as possible, only to be replaced by someone who's pretty much the same.

I suppose that would happen. And I also suppose that's what I don't like.
So know I just need to figure out how to make society accept misstakes!

Political correctness! (No I'm not a budding member of the BNP). But recently people seem so scared of discriminating against people of other races that they are now discriminating against people of their own race.

And now comedy is no longer allowed to be targeted against someone (ie Gordon Brown), no matter how much they deserve it, in case of causing offense. How long is it going to be before they start banning the classics like Fawlty Towers and Blackadder for being un-PC?
