Horribly thick and disjointed North American with a twist of Australian and Virginian, so I have a tendency to pronounce some vowels both long and short at the same time.

i have a very thick french canadian accent. it's not the same thing as french accent from France.

first, i usually pronounce an "h" where there's none, and i dont pronounce it when there's one. and while in France they pronounce "th" like "z", i pronounce it like a "d" for exemple, if i say "the air is in my hair", i prounonce it like "de hair is in my air".

also i pronounce most word like if they were french words, so especially the voyels change in the sounding. it give a very wierd sounding when i talk, and i often have to repeat a few time if i speak in english.

I live in the Midwest in America. So everyone you hear on the national news programs? I sound like them. For this reason, we in the Midwest are sometimes called "accent-less".

I guess I have an Aussie accent, but it's not really prevalent. Like, to myself I sound nothing like someone like Steve Irwin, or Hilltop Hoods.

I find my voice boring >.<

Quite posh British, even though I have spent my life growing up in Penzance (if you don't know where that is, it's where the weather forecasters elbow blocks when pointing to more important places like London)

I speak [a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_American]Newscaster American English[/a] which is surprising as both my parents have heavy accents. My father has a the scandinavian habit of stressing his I's and O's and my mother has a rural 'twang. Not to mention I was born in Pittsburgh and lived there till I was 6 (and again at age 12) they have a seriously freaked up accent
'you'uns jeet jet?'

Spent most of my life trying not to have an accent, and what do ya know? I was successful, mostly. Get me drunk enough and a very VERY southern accent will follow.

Australian without the Crocodile Dundee exaggeration.
I suppose you could call it "city Australian"?
When I was last in the U.S alot of Americans were saying I sounded British.
Just thought that was interesting.
You may not.. ah well.

Most of us can't tell the difference between 'city australian' and 'newscaster british'

Scottish!!!

Though I'm Dutch and have never been to Scotland, my bastardization of the English language when speaking is sound enough to make me sound like a tall bearded bugger wearing a skirt or alternatively a short bearded bugger wearing pants and living in mountains, at least according to most Brits I know.

Well, my fellow Escapists, we come from far and wide, speaking many different languages and coming from completely differet places. So, my question to you is, what is you accent, it can be anything just explain it.

Me, well i've been told I have a slight Virginian accent, but this is probably because somethimes i put accents into my talk just by pure accident. You see, I can imitate a cople of differnt accents VERY well, like if you didnt know me and I walked up to you talking in souther accent you'd beleive I was souther, the same goes for Scottish.

I can do an EXTREAMLY goo southern accent and can just start talking like it whenever I feel like it, its programed into me. Same with scottish, however I have to say a few lines to get it perfect, theni can just say anything in it. Its my gift I guess.

So my fellow Escapists, share you accent with the world.
Hate to burst your bubble, but accent is not the proper term. You're thinking of dialect. Accent is when a foriegn person speaks your langues, i.e., French person speaking English or vice-versa.
