Ah, my fault, I always mix those up. Although I believe that Ireland is considered one of the 6 Celtic countries, so I suppose I could justifiably say I was one.

Still, I'll change it.
Heh, sorry, I'm just always getting stick for it from my super Gaelic friends. It's ingrained at this point :p

Sicilian and Irish and I'm pretty sure there is Norman ancestry on both sides. If you know who the Normans are or how that is possible you get a cookie. :D

Vikings pwning stuff down in the Mediterranean settled on Sicily and you are their inbred 100th generation offspring?

Also, Normans or Vikings pwning the British Isles and settled and you are their inbred 100th generation offspring? :D

I'm Welsh born and bred, but I'm part Cornish, English, French, German, Italian and South African in varying degrees.

Also, my surname is Gilpin, which is supposedly Norman, though it is debated whether it originates from Scotland or Ireland (it's a name with a very mysterious background. I find that cool.)

Live in the UK, ancestry goes directly to Germany, then to France and Austria from there, and go a few steps back again, and countries like Czechoslovakia, Italy, and Poland get involved.

I live in the West Midlands and I have some Cornish and Scottish in me but I think some of my older ancestors come from Wales, also I think there is some very very very little Swedish or French in me. Other than that I'm Black Country born and bred.
